Newark, Delaware
On property originally deeded back in the late 1700s, in the quaint valley of Hockessin, this beautifully-renovated, historic guesthouse is your next home away from home. Featuring tons of natural lighting, charm, and cozy essentials to make for lovely stay.
Upon entering the front door you will find yourself in the cozy living room. Built in shelving hosting books, and games for guests to use, a table for two, and a smart tv. The French doors lead to a patio that is only used for our guests.
Up the few steps from the living room you will find the fully remodeled kitchen. Brand new appliances, soap stone counters with custom woodwork. The kitchen features a keurig, French press, tea kettle, nutri bullet, as well as coffee and tea.
The bathroom is off the kitchen, and features in-unit washer and dryer.
The bedroom is on this level and is spacious, including a king bed, smart tv and robes for guest use.
The loft has a work from home space and a full sized pull out sofa.
Please note that on Monday mornings, landscaping crews come out.
The Cottage was lovely. It was all the small things that made the stay so special. The property manager, Courtney, was attentive and available. The cottage is pretty remote, which was perfect for us. It was quiet and peaceful. If you are planning a stay we would recommend you have a car. Would definitely stay here again!
We loved our stay at this bungalow! The space was clean and tidy and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The house is tucked away on an easily accessible road and we had plenty of privacy. We hope to use this as a place to stay for future visits with our extended family!
We had a great time at this attractive and well-kept property. Secluded enough to feel like you were away from the world but also close to the places we wanted to visit. Tons of natural light, a diminutive but functional kitchen, comfortable in every way. Be sure you are ok with stairs if you want to stay here.
