Opal House provides families a comfortable & relaxing home-away-from-home to relax, unwind and enjoy one another's company during their Wild Dunes and Charleston adventures. Guests of Opal House enjoy sweeping water views of the lagoon behind the home and the home's reverse floor plan layout -- the living room, dining room and kitchen areas are all on the top floor of this home, giving you an abundance of natural light in these rooms from all the windows and vaulted ceilings. There are also several outdoor balconies, patios and roof decks available for your enjoyment in this comfortable home.



Located just a 3-minute stroll to a very quiet portion of the Wild Dunes beach, Opal House is also situated just around the corner from the Ocean Point community pool complex. Guests of Opal House may access the Ocean Point community pool complex, which features a swimming pool and cabana.

Guests enter Opal House by taking the exterior stairs from the driveway to the front porch of this elevated home. The foyer leads you to the primary suite, a queen suite, a guest bedroom, the hallway bathroom and the staircases to the home's ground & third floors. On the third floor, you'll find the home's living room, newly renovated kitchen, dining area and a half bathroom. You can enjoy a morning coffee and sunrise on the outdoor deck on the front of the house or an evening sundowner and sunset on the outdoor balcony overlooking the lagoon behind the home. The home's ground floor features a media room with a queen bed, a bunk bed with two twin beds, a wall-mounted smart TV, bathroom with tiled walk-in shower, access to exterior stairs to the backyard area and kitchenette with full sized refrigerator, microwave, sink and front-load washing machine & dryer.

The Beach Club community next door to Ocean Point is undergoing renovation during 2026. There may be occasional periods of noise and construction traffic within Wild Dunes.

Isle of Palms will be conducting minor beach replenishment in 2026. This is due to recent storm erosion. We apologize for the inconvenience. This may impact beach access. There will be construction traffic and noise in the immediate area of any work site.

    We stayed 5 nights at the Opal House with our toddler and parents. The neighborhood Ocean Point is very quiet. The beach area is very secluded and not crowded. The pool area was also not busy and very clean. My only suggestion would be putting a table out on the front balcony to eat! That would be so nice. Overall, everything in the house was great. Would definitely stay here again!

    Beautiful home and very quiet. Well stocked with the necessities and had beach chairs/carts available. Beach and pool were only short walks and not crowded. Hosts were in communication prior to, during and after our stay.

    For over 9,000 for a week, the overall experience was more 4,000. Cheap linens, dirty carpets, poor stocking of essentials in the kitchen and bathrooms. I could go on. I would not pay the luxury pricing while getting a B- experience.

    I would definitely recommend Opal House to anyone seeking a quiet getaway way that has secluded beautiful beaches! Located deep in Wild Dunes, the neighborhood is secure, the house beautifully decorated, maintained and wall stocked. Steve was an excellent host and amazing communicator! Made for a great few days….will be back!

    This home was situated in a beautiful and peaceful area of Wild Dunes. Furnishings and decor was so perfect for a family getaway. We celebrated Father’s Day with our 82 year old father and couldn’t have been happier.

    Overall we loved all being able to stay together in a nice home and very convenient to community pool and beach access. We did have a few negatives: The front stairs going into the unit did not have a hand rail and was considered a safety issue especially carrying luggage in and out of rental. Cable tv did not include major networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX and no access to tennis channel. Would be helpful to download DirectTV app so people could sign in and use their subscription. Wi-Fi was very weak in basement apartment

    We stayed here while playing in a baseball tournament at Shipyard. Eveeything was as advertised. We had plenty of room and the house was really clean. We had a great time and the kids loved fishing out golf balls and throwing them on the dricing range!
