Wonderful weekend getaway! A beautiful setting, a beautiful cabin and everything needed to relax and enjoy the area. Great home-base from which to hike, town hop and enjoy the Catskills.

A beautiful property and decor. Clean and lots of condiments all organic! Comfy and charming. Host was quick to respond to questions and gracious.

This is a great spot, close to lots of great activities and restaurants. It's pretty close to another property but it was completely private and perfectly secluded. My wife and I loved it and will hopefully be back in the warmer weather.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway. Hot tub and amenities were great. Cozy spot and great location to visit NY state.

Mirav was a great host, and there were lots of helpful guides and instructions in the cabin. The hot tub was the best- sitting outside all nice and warm watching the snow fall.

Our stay in the cabin was comfortable and convenient. Beautiful setting in the Catskills mountains. Also loved using the hot tub right outside the back door. Mirav was very available, but also allowed us all the privacy. Great stay.

The hot tub was hot and the fridge was cold. Overall a great place to stay!

A lovely wooded country setting, so quiet and peaceful! We absolutely loved the patio, especially sitting in the hot tub, listening to the birds and crickets singing, watching deer meander past, sipping on a glass of wine. The place is so adorable, comfortable, clean and tidy. Tile work in the kitchen area and bathroom inspiring. Such a sense of privacy yet only a few minutes drive to Woodstock for dining and other delights.

Tranquil Nirvana. This was exactly as pictured and better than we expected! Mirav is a fantastic host, very informative and attentive to our needs. The yard was nature at it's finest. We watched wildlife stroll by while relaxing in the hot tub. The property is located in the middle of the wilderness but minutes from multiple towns and everything we needed. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to return!

We had a great stay. Check in was easy and the cabin looked just like the pictures. The space was perfect for two people - the set up is a great use of the space. We appreciated the binder that had clear directions from our host about things in the house as well as recommendations for things to do in the area. The day we arrived it was over 90 degrees F. Before we got there, we wondered how well air conditioned the cabin would be, but the wall air unit cooled the space well. One minor thing to note is that while the cabin did feel private, the main house on the property is very close by. As others have mentioned, all the windows of the cabin/barn face toward the wooded area and you do feel very secluded. We never saw or heard anyone coming or going from the main house while we were there. I only bring this up for those who are looking for complete privacy and isolation. Overall, we really loved our stay. The property is beautiful and lovingly maintained. And the location allows you to feel like you are in the woods, yet only a short drive to groceries, places to eat, and some cool hikes.

The owner's directions were easy to follow and we appreciated the thoughtful notes and explanations inside the property. We had hoped for a place that was quiet, peaceful and very private. We weren't disappointed. We found comfortable relaxing seating, both inside and out. On two evenings we saw magical sightings of deer passing by. We used the two, queen beds, both very comfortable, finding one in the living room, the other in the loft. Everything seemed clean and there was no smell. Our visit took place during a freak heat wave. The Barn has a strong a/c that even kept the loft cool, after we learned to adjust the direction of the air flow. The refrigerator, microwave, small oven and electric kettle were all clean and working perfectly. In the kitchen and bathroom the hot water was hot. The property is an easy drive to Woodstock, to the Ashokan Rail Trail and to the areas around Hunter, Tannersville and Haynes Falls. It would be a great base for taking on the more challenging hikes in the hills; but alas, we (in our late 80s now) can only dream of that. With steps and (likely) ticks in the woods, this venue might not suit a family with young children, nor people with impaired mobility. For adults, I'd recommend it highly.

The property was well kept but had a few steps inside you had to be aware of and a staircase as well. I thought there was a stove but the grill was fine. We had a nice time.

Quiet and peaceful

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Barn by A Stream with Hot Tub. The grounds were beautiful and the private area immediately behind the barn was a joy to experience with regular visits by deer.

The cottage is cozy, well decorated and very private. The hot tub is a great way to end a day of hiking and the stream provides a soothing background to the stillness of the forest.Mirav was available if we needed anything.We’ll definitely come back!

Lovely converted barn complete with a breathtaking view of the woods and a small creek that runs through the property. Everything was perfect for a romantic getaway from the city.

Cabin was lovely , great backyard with hammock, lovely stream in backyard and hot tub. It was about 15 minutes from town, roads were very well maintained to get to the cabin . Overall great stay

My spouse and I came up for the weekend for a long overdue honeymoon. The place was perfect. Though it rained a lot we did not let the weather get us down, and the barn was a cozy place to curl up and listen to the rain and the brook. We loved exploring nearby towns and hiking in the moody weather. We would definitely come back, we are already talking about wanting to see the Moonshadow in the snow!

Stayed here for a mother/daughter trip and we had a wonderful time. The cabin is cozy and clean. Still, most the windows face the back of the property so it felt very private. We really enjoyed the hot tub, the relaxing sound of the creek and seeing deer roaming the woods in the back.

Perfect getaway for some R&R

Great spot with fantastic accommodations.

A perfect little spot for a mini vacation. The property is beautiful with a little stream in the back and a hammock and hot tub. So close to town which was perfect for us.

My wife and I had a great time staying at the cabin over Thanksgiving with our dog. The place is nested beautifully in the woods, and the hot tub was an added bonus. We lost power Thanksgiving morning during a surprise snow storm, but the backup generator kicked in automatically, and Mirav reached out to us proactively and kept us informed.

We had a wonderful stay at the Barn. It’s cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities we could want, including a great shower. Sitting in the back yard watching and listening to nature was a joy. The location is perfect—very quiet and secluded but a short (and beautiful) drive to Woodstock, Phoenicia, and lots of other destinations. We can’t wait to come back!

This property was nestled in the woods and the views were beautiful. I loved living in the one room setup for a week. It was very intimate. The area is great with lots to explore. Would definitely book again.

The setting is peaceful, the cabin is welcoming and well appointed, and we had a lovely stay. We had booked a sailing course in nearby Kingston and were at the cabin in the evenings and overnight. Everything was as described. Directions were clear and easy to follow. The hot tub and view of the woods were were the perfect end to a long day on the water. And our nights were quiet and comfortable. Hats-off to Mirav for her excellent hosting.

We found the Woodstock Barn to be a centrally located Base Camp for exploring all regions of the Catskills area. After a day of hiking, waterfall visits, or town visits Woodstock Barn was a clean and comfortable evening rest place. Communications with the property owner were exceptional. We were very pleased with this property.

What an amazing stay in the beautiful and serene woods of the Catskills. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after our days of exploring. Mirav’s place was impeccably clean and had plenty of room for our family of three. She was very responsive to any questions we had. We hope to be back for future visits.

This lovely oversized cabin is tucked away on a quiet street just minutes from Woodstock. It is a beautiful location, with a stream in the backyard and lovely landscaping throughout the property. The private hot tub is a wonderful bonus after a long day of hiking and the host is so kind and helpful. Highly recommend this beautiful spot for a getaway in the Catskills.
