We had a fantastic week at the A-House with our children aged 7 and 5: its location is ideal, in a very quiet and leafy area of the village, and within close proximity to the marina, beach and shops. We had the chance to meet the owner in person and really appreciated the welcome presents - it's the little details that make the difference! The house is both practical and decorated with taste and we were impressed by its cleanliness and the comfort of the beds. We really liked the fact that the owner is putting at his guests' disposal 2 bicycles, plenty of games, some great CDs and a choice of DVDs. The garden is very well kept and a lovely place to relax and play. We strongly recommend the A-house and would love going back there for another holiday.

The accommodation was just as described on homelidays, even better. We could get a very good impression before our stay on the house''s website and even got some ideas on the possible activities on the island through the landlord''s blog. We had the chance to meet the landlords personally because we picked up the key at their atelier in Antwerp. This was not a must, but a nice opportunity to visit the lovely city on our way to the A-House. The two are very nice and open persons and it was great to have a face to go with the email correspondence. I had exchanged some e-mails with Thomas before our trip, and he answered all my questions - the few that were left after the good information package I had gotten. Concerning payment everything went smoothly. Our actual stay at the A-House was just perfect for a couple of days away from everything. The house is furnished in a comfortable manner and the style should fit most people''s needs. In particular, we enjoyed the garden of the house which is indeed really quiet and has a lot of different plants and trees. The town of Scharendijke is not suited for people who are looking for some action, which we weren''t. However, there are a couple of nice restaurants you can visit in case you don''t want to cook. The kitchen is also quite well equipped, although I did personally miss some extras such as spices, olive oil, etc. Buying all these things for a nice meal in the local supermarket can quickly become quite expensive. We particularly liked the fact that there are also two bicycles at the house we could use, because we would have had to rent some anyway. All in all, we can definitely recommend a stay at the A-House and would re-visit any time!

This nice house has everything one could need for a worry free holliday... During the kind reception by the owners we already knew we would enjoy ourselves in this fresh decorated and clean house with its secluded and large garden. Our two kids from 9 and 12 yo enjoyed themselves very well in and around the house. We can recommend this charming house for anyone who wants a relaxed holliday...

Everything was just perfect: the house, the garden, the village, the beach. Our two-year-old son had a great fun climbing up and down the winding staircase and playing in the garden in his pyjamas. The only bad thing was that we stayed there for a short week. Next time it has to be longer!

The area is very nice: small villages in the country or by the sea. The beach itself is more than 15 minutes walking (1/2 hour), but 5 minutes by car. Beautiful beach by the north sea.
