We had a wonderful time in Monkey Puzzle Cottage. It is beautifully furnished and fitted and even the garden has a gas barbeque and fire. There is everything that you could wish for in the kitchen and all the equipment is of a very high spec. The three bedrooms are very comfortable and upstairs is very luxurious with en suite to all the rooms. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you

The house was nice and located in a small village with a pub next door (don’t bother!) but a nice hotel/bar just down the road (rose & crown). If your looking for a house which would make a good base for venturing out then this is ideal, generally speaking it was clean (outside not so much but we could have reported if we wanted). I was also impressed at the amount of glassware at the property as well as kitchen gadgets. The photos on the website also show the house off well, but on arrival it’s clear the upstairs balcony is not suitable for sitting out in, and you are fairly overlooked by the neighbouring properties, just something to be mindful of if you are choosing this house specifically to stay in and not venture out much. My suggestion would be to have a checklist for the handover/cleaning team to sign off and provide to the letting agency prior to leaving to ensure the property is as it should be, rather than the emphasis on guests having to contact the owner to ask for things to be corrected though. For me, I wouldn’t visit again, but if you want a good base and an area for kids to run around safely then this would suit you.

We stayed at Monkey Puzzle Cottage over Christmas this year. The owners has decorated the house beautifully with Christmas decorations, a real tree and lights which was such a lovely surprise. The house is amazing and feels very homely with the log fire on. There isn't much to do in the immediate area however we had a car do this was no problem for us. We would definitely go back to this property again.

The cottage was beautiful, really cosy, the kitchen was probably one of the best equipped kitchens I have ever stayed in. Just wish we could return in summer to enjoy the garden.

We enjoyed our stay at Monkey Puzzle Cottage. We liked the large open plan living area. Other guests should be aware of a very tight driveway, we had a large vehicle and it was a struggle. We were disappointed with the state of some of the linens, I think you could tell it was the end of the season. We also had to wash the saucepans and fry pan as they were dirty but overall a nice stay.

We couldn’t have had a better base for our holiday in Norfolk. This is a superb cottage. The beds were very comfortable and in the rest of the cottage pretty much everything had been thought of. In the kitchen there was almost every utensil you could think of, the living room was very comfy and beautifully decorated. The level of amenities was very high and all kept to an excellent standard. It was also helped by the good weather, even got to barbecue on a couple of days. I would definitely recommend this place and can safely say we will be going back.

This house delivers! We stumbled across this house looking for a small UK break and it didn't disappoint. The house is very clean and fully kitted out, we were able to relax and wind down without any trouble. Close to King's Lynn, Hunstanton and Sandringham, there is plenty to do and see. We will be booking again without a doubt and have already recommended to friends. Little tip from the welcome book - reverse onto the drive as its much easier to get out :) Thank you!

We had a lovely long weekend in Monkey Puzzle cottage. It had everything we needed, great outdoor space, and with 3 couples staying we had a bathroom each. Snettisham was a lovely quiet village, with great walks nearby. We also spent a lot of time in the Rose & Crown which had great beer and food.

We arrived at Monkey Puzzle Cottage at 16.30 on Friday 9th July for a 3 night stay and we paid £1248 for the privilege. When we got there the cottage was dirty and hadn't been cleaned since the last guests had stayed. There seems to be some dispute between Norfolk Hideaways and the owner as to whose fault that actually was - I just know it wasn't mine. Anyhow upon my return home and after sending photos of the grim scenes that we were met with, a representative of Norfolk Hideaways replied that these images were the same as she would see at the end of every occupancy. I was really quite distressed by that comment as the sink in the beach hut - which allegedly contains 2 sun loungers and a sink was like nothing I had ever seen and I wouldn't imagine that had been cleaned for at least 12 months - there may well have been 2 sun loungers contained within but they were buried under the mountain of debris contained therein if they were there at all. The cleaning team turned up at about 5.45 and spent about an hour cleaning, again the Manager from Norfolk Hideaways alleged that they completed a full clean in this time, - I found that very odd considering that outgoing guests are requested to leave by 10am in order for a full clean to be conducted in time for the next guests to arrive at 4pm. Norfolk Hideaways then tried to justify this in some way by intimating that they were aware that the cleaning team had given us a bottle of wine - this was indeed true, however the truth of the matter was that the cleaning team had taken the decision to do so as they were so highly embarrassed and humiliated at the position that Norfolk Hideaways had put them in - I would like to clarify that I had no issue with the cleaning team at all, who were consummate professionals. Taking all of this into consideration the owners of the cottage have deemed it acceptable to pay me a refund of £50 (4%) which apparently was due to the length of time that we sat outside waiting for the cleaners to arrive and perform a full clean. I advised that I found this derisory and insulting - this property is listed as a Luxury Property - that is an absolute joke and nothing like the experience that I had paid for. I am so disappointed with this whole experience and can advise that after being perfectly reasonable and understanding of the situation at the time, the after care afforded by both Norfolk Hideaways and the property owner in this instance has left me absolutely fuming. I would hate for anyone I know to book with this company going forward and would absolutely urge everyone I know to steer well clear. We have just (hopefully) begun the process of emerging from a terrible pandemic and this weekend was a family celebration of the same and the first chance to be together - what a terrible experience that was and one never to be repeated as far as I am concerned.

Due to a cancelled holiday to Greece we found ourselves late to the market on booking a UK break. I found Monkey Puzzle and feel incredibly lucky. What a place!! The check in details were so easy and the house is kitted out beyond any expectation. Based on walking distance to pubs and shops, a short car journey to the beach, we couldn’t have wanted more. We really were able to relax. The little beach hut in the garden was stocked with all beach essentials - from crabbing, sandcastle building and beach mats. The kitchen was stocked with all essentials and more. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and will be back!
