Location is close to town and the castle. Walking distance to many restaurants. Overall, great stay. Bathtub could use some rails/step.

The house is ideally situated on Castle Hill and dates back to possibly the 1760s. Certainly the bathroom and kitchen are modern but the general ambiance is pure period. Lancaster Castle is two minutes away so one is quickly taken back in time, The city centre with major supermarkets is 5 to 10 minutes away so living is easy. Lancaster Railway station is less than 10 minutes away so visits to Windermere and Morecambe were simple.
