The Great Stone of Fourstones itself is a relic from the Ice Age, standing on the boundary between counties and has become a notable feature of the landscape. From here it's possible to see the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and The Forest of Bowland, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
