Stayed May 26, 2025We love BHI and the home had great potential- large decks, great open floor plan and space. Unfortunately the property that has not been kept up. The decks and outdoor furniture were covered in webs, grime and mold and with paint peeling everywhere. The cushions were old, stained and filthy. Some of the wicker furniture was torn up. One chair had no legs! None of the doors on the lower entry could be locked!! Instructions were given to lift the doors to lock them, which only our adult men could do and had to do from the outside! We had to lock the doors from outside and climb back through a window to lock up. They had someone check them and they left a note on the door saying that the doors needed parts that have to be ordered. So no locking doors without climbing through windows! The oven door was broken and couldn't close. We had to tilt a chair under the handle to keep it closed so we could use it. Couldn't be fixed so they put a wine bottle cork in it to wedge it shut. We had to request additional forks and there wasn't even a complete set of 8 cups for drinking. There was no carafe for the blender- kitchen items were hit and miss. 2 tvs were very old and none in primary bedroom. The up sides- inside was pretty clean, minus the rug in the LR that needs to be replaced. But the property company was very responsive and brought missing items quickly and attempted to clean and fix thing

Stayed May 2, 2024We had a mix of family & friends, with a couple that had never been to the island. The house fit our needs perfectly with the number of bedrooms, large kitchen with a big dining table, great location, & 2 golf carts. The house was clean except for the floors needing a good mopping & the porches needing a spring pressure washing. Be aware of lots of stairs and 2 of the downstairs beds were very hard. Overall we give it a 4, it would get a 5 with some cleaning & better mattresses.
