Welcome to our Poconos Cabin, the 'North Star'. As the owners of this renovated and updated, 5 star vacation rental, we are so excited to spend time in this beautiful community and to welcome new guests to our cabin! We named it the North Star because of the feeling we get when we stay here: of tranquility, serenity, and how it helps us find our bearings: like the north star guiding sailors home.

The cabin is located near the recreation center and golf course in a quiet part the amenity rich Hideout Community. It is minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack, the historic towns of Hawley and Honesdale, offering quaint shops and dining options to explore. Plus, the Poconos' natural beauty is right at your doorstep, making it a great place to relax and enjoy all that the Poconos has to offer.

There is something to do in every season at the Hideout, one of Pennsylvania's premier 4 season communities. Tennis, pickle ball, 9 hole golf course, basketball, lakes for boating, fishing, swimming, beaches, and two outdoor heated pools. There is skiing, tubing and and ice skating in the winter. There are also indoor tennis and pickle ball courts at the recreation center along with a games room with pool tables and ping pong, and a gym.

The cozy chalet has 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms spread over 3 floors and can accommodate up to 12 guests. The main floor has the living room with wood-burning fireplace, the dining area and kitchen, as well as one of the queen bedrooms and a full bath.

The second floor has the other 2 queen bedrooms, a full bath, and a loft space that's a great hangout space or a spot to get away and do some work or escape with a book.

The ground floor is the kid's zone. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a bunk bed and single day bed and another bedroom with a bunk. There is another full bathroom that includes laundry facilities and a play area with a smart TV with video games and foosball.

There is a 55 smart TV in the living room with Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Apple TV, Max, and Disney for streaming. There is a G**gle hub for music that can also control the smart switches and thermostats, as well as a smart TV in each of the queen bedrooms. There are many board games, cards, and video games as well.

You will find the kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment and plenty of dishes and glassware for the whole gang. Hand towels, dish soup, a sponge, and dishwasher detergent are provided in the kitchen, as well as hand soap and body soap in the bathrooms. Starter coffee Keurig Pods and some basic pantry items are included, as well as starter paper towels and toilet paper.

All sheets and towels are provided.

Pet Rules:
- Up to 2 dogs are allowed.
- Please keep pets off furniture.
- Please do not leave pets alone for an extended period of time.
- Preapproval is required on Pets.

Access to the community:
- All guests must be registered with the community. A form will be sent to you after booking in which the community requires all the guests that will be staying at the house to be listed. Please fill this out as soon as possible.
- Upon arrival, all guests must check in at the security office at the main gate of The Hideout, where you will receive a guest packet and parking tag. All guests may be required to show ID.
-- A parking pass is required for each vehicle entering the community and will be available at the main gate. Identification, car registration, plate #, and car make/model info are needed by security to issue parking passes.
- 9 amenity badges are provided at the house, and additional badges can be purchased at the gate for a small fee. Children under 7 do not require badges.

House Rules:
- Only the people listed on the reservation are permitted in the home.
- The minimum age of the primary renter is 25.
- PLEASE NOTE that The Hideout limits the number of unrelated guests to 3 adults. This means that up to 3 unrelated family groups or individual adults may reserve one house.
- No smoking
- No events or parties.

Parking:
Driveway (5 vehicles maximum), there is no parking on the street, please stay at least 5 feet from the street when parked in driveway. There is plenty of room.
