This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.



Getting Around:

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.



Other Things to Note:

Luggage storage offered Monday- Friday at our main office from 8:30am-5pm. On weekends we recommend utilizing Bounce Luggage storage. Please inquire once booking is complete for the address!

    Property was nice. Rooms were spacious. Some cleaning was missed. Garbage was not taking out in one of the bathrooms, coffee pot was not cleaned out. Parking was a nightmare & location was not ideal.

    Needed potholders. Oven doesn't heat.Tried to use the oven to bake something. The oven never got hot enough. Had to throw out 20 worth of baking batter.Middle bath sink doesn't drain.Found ants in the refrigerator?Would be nice to have instructions to get local channels on the tv.Also a nice touch would be to provide kleenex.

    Overall, we had a great stay. The host is responsive and the pictures are accurate to the space. The building is older and after talking to a few locals, mold is very common in these older houses if the building wasn’t gutted when remodeling. Mold was coming out of every vent upstairs. I felt bad as the person who booked this VRBO because I had guests who were pregnant, had cardiac conditions, autoimmune diseases, etc that could be affected staying in a place with mold more so than a healthy individual. As stated in the listing, there is a lot of construction going on around the property. When it is all done, the area will be beautiful, but right now it is a little sketchy. The construction crew did make noise at early as 5:30-6:00 am on Friday morning, but was quiet during early hours on the weekends. The location is nice because it is very walkable to King St. and other popular areas. The check in/check out process was really easy compared to other places I have stayed in the past and overall had a good stay. I was asked to leave any constructive criticism in the private feedback section of the VRBO, but I feel it is important for someone to know these things before booking.

    The house is amazing but was dirty. The vents were filthy, the floors were filthy, the oven had not been cleaned nor had the bottom of the freezer been cleaned. I was promised a refund for the cleaning fee and was told it would take 8-10 days after I checked out to receive it. My stay was at the end of July, and I have yet to receive my refund. I will never stay with Your Pad ever again and neither will my 6 other guests. Very disappointing.

    Location is very close to downtown, the next door buildings aren’t ideal but walk 5 minutes and you are where everything you need is! It’s great for big groups with beds for everyone. We would recommend to a friend!

    Super close to the end of king street- clean, updated amentities and easy access to all that downtown charleston has to offer! definitely need to uber if heading more north of town, but overall a great stay. Easy to check in and out. Had issues with the water pressure but they sent someone out next day to fix! Super responsive when asking questions, too. Would stay here again!

    The overall experience was great. The unit was clean & had everything we needed. There was a lot of construction going on so noise level was a problem. This however was not the fault of VRBO & hope this will be completed soon. All in all the location was within walking distance of several restaurants & was very convenient to our wedding venue.

    The property owners were great and prompt in replying! Nice to have off-street parking, but it was a bit tight and challenging to navigate two cars in and out with the other two cars of the guests staying in the house behind this one. The rooms were big, the beds were comfortable, and what a treat to have a bathroom for every bedroom.

    Property was very clean and spacious. Great location between Meeting and King St. Parking is extremely tight and like a puzzle if the back home is rented too however is expected in downtown Charleston. To have offstreet parking was such a huge plus. Construction in the area however price reflected that. We had a great time and would recommend!

    The driveway was the first challenge. It was so very, very narrow and difficult to maneuver, but with the help of a neighborhood construction guy, our diver was able to get in and out. By the end of our week, she was a pro. We had some difficulties right away, and we contacted our host immediately on all of them. He/she handled them all quickly and efficiently. There was construction going on early each day, but we were warned by the host; not a big deal. The street was evolving and will be very nice relatively soon. King and Meeting streets were convenient and we met some very nice servers at Braso, the corner restaurant on King. A great breakfast place was on Meeting street, just around the corner. The bedrooms and bathrooms in the house were great. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was fine for our needs. We asked for a card table for card playing at night and it was delivered quickly, with chairs. The one room we thought needed some redecorating was the living room. It would be so easy to put some local photos on the walls. Charleston is beautiful; show it. The baskets and fans need to go, along with the futon. Maybe a game table would be nice since there isn't a breakfast table and could serve 2 purposes. The rug needs cleaning or throwing. Otherwise, the house was convenient and very Charleston. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
