We enjoyed spending Thanksgiving at the red roof farmhouse. The house was sparkling clean and, spacious for our family to have our holiday dinner and play games. However, not having a dishwasher made clean up a bit more cumbersome. The beds were comfortable and the house well stocked with all the plates and utensils you need. Our host Roger was very friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with the water but Roger and his nephew showed up in minutes on Thanksgiving to assess and repair the problem promptly! Roger even left a yummy pie in the fridge for our meal! The property is located a bit closer to the road and Dollar General than anticipated but it was still quiet and peaceful. We loved the Mountain View and took great pictures in front of the stream out front. Thanks for allowing us to visit!
We enjoyed our stay at the Red Roof Farmhouse. Loved the house, the porch, the creek, the views, all of it. Dr. Jenkins was a wonderful host and even brought us fresh blueberry muffins one morning. We highly recommend this rental, and look forward to returning in the future.
This property is beautiful. The porch and views were my favorite. The beds we’re comfortable and we woke up feeling so rested each morning. kitchen was fully stocked with anything you’d need including tons of spices and oils etc. the fridge even has basic condiments! Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer to enjoy the nature, we were in town for a race and spent most of our time doing that. But knowing we had such a comfy place to come home to each night from a long day was fantastic! Thank you for sharing your piece of serenity with us!
Beautiful home—comfortable beds, lots of relaxing spaces, and a fantastic porch with a great view of the mountains. There was plenty of space both for us to hang out together and for us to get away from each other when necessary! Kitchen is very complete. The berry patch has a constant supply of summer berries rotating into season. Roger was very responsive and organized, making sure we had everything we needed. I can’t imagine a better host.
Excellent getaway property. Plenty of outdoors to enjoy in surrounding mountains and rivers. House is well appointed and kitchen has all appliances (including small appliances), utensils and tableware a family needs. Excellent host provided ample information in advance about the property and area attractions. Host was very welcoming and available if any need was to arise.
We have an amazing Christmas week here! Beautiful property, super clean , has everything in the house what you need. The property manager was so kind, we definitely coming back
We had a delightful stay for our Thanksgiving holiday. The home and area were so beautiful. Dr. Jenkins was a wonderful host and very easy to contact.
My family of 4 with two younger kids stayed here and there was something for everyone. Great view of the mountains from the front porch if you want relax. A long stretch of stream to fish that borders the front of the property. Caught quite a few brown trout and rainbow trout and we had it to ourselves the whole trip. Dollar general is a short walk or drive to get the essentials. Grocery stores, shops, etc are about a 25-30 minute drive. We did find a restaurant 13 minutes away (Bonnie and Clyde's). Food was good and prices were reasonable. Lastly, the property manager was great. Very responsive and helpful.
Absolutely gorgeous property! Felt like we had arrived at a family member's wonderful mountain home. Very comfortable, awesome home layout, everything you would ever need available, a wonderful host, and a perfect location. One of my top 5 favorite vacations in all of life!
This rental was great. The check in was seamless. The communication was excellent and soon as I reserved it. The cabin was very clean and inviting. There was plenty of room in the cabin and outside as well. We have 2 yo twins and it was so much nicer to stay in a cabin and have room to play inside and outside compared to a hotel. It was also quiet and peaceful so neighbors were far away. We had plenty of privacy. I was also able to cook and have more family over to cook for them as well. It was close to Johnson City which is where my family was I was visiting. It was a 35 min commute through beautiful mountain roads. I would high recommend this property. There is plenty to do at the property and it is large enough for a large family or group of friends with everyone still having their space. The owner was just a call/text/email away with any questions that arose. It was a nice getaway to relax with family.
Wonderful home with plenty of space inside. Brothers and I rented the place as it was an hour away from Bristol and really enjoyed the scenery and peacefullness of the quiet town. Dollar general across the street had all the basic essentials for breakfast. Highly recommend staying if you're looking to get away from the hustle of a city.
All that you need to both relax and get some work done, if necessary. Views are amazing. Location is exactly half way between Burnsville and Johnson City, so you'll be driving a little if you're wanting to go out. Loved it. We'll be back.
This beautiful farmhouse was perfect for our family of 5. Super clean and furnished with everything we needed and more. The property had everything we had been looking for…amazing mountain views (most importantly), a water stream (kids loved throwing rocks in it and looking for fish), rolling hills (kids enjoyed rolling down them) fruit trees and bushes (that my family enjoyed picking fruit from). And the hosts were phenomenal. They were always very responsive, and had so many recommendations and suggestions whenever I would reach out to them. They helped us make the absolute best of our time there. They even treated us to some delicious, warm homemade blueberry muffins! We will definitely be going back…hopefully soon!
Beautiful place! Beautiful weather! Thank you for sharing!
We had such a relaxing and enjoyable visit to the Red Roof Farm. Our host was very welcoming and helpful, we felt right at home. The host gave us a ton of information on the best hiking based on our interest and capabilities, where to get our groceries, dining and the best spot for trout fishing. We loved it and hope to return soon.
Check in was a breeze, house was wonderfully equipped. Very clean, beautifully furnished. We lacked for nothing!! Very friendly and accessible host!!
