3770 Stone's Throw ~ Walk to the Ocean and Town

It was a lovely place to celebrate our mom’s 82nd birthday. The house is so charming!

We loved our few days at Stone’s Throw. The home is beautiful, warm and comfortable. It was an easy and beautiful walk to town and was an easy downhill walk to the beach. We look forward to returning in the future.

The house does have stairs leading down to one of the bedrooms, which I didn't remember reading in the description or seeing pictures of. Thankfully we found a baby gate at the property that we used to secure from our one year old. The house overall was wonderful, quiet and very comfortable.

We had plenty of room for the 6 of us to cook and hang out at home when we weren’t out exploring the area. We did have an issue with the master bathroom shower and the management company responded rapidly and handled the problem very professionally. I would highly recommend this property and the Management company.

Everything was perfect; it's clear that a lot of thought has gone into making an exceptional experience for guests. Everyone enjoyed themselves, were very comfortable, and had a wonderful time.

We had a wonderful stay in Carmel. The house was beautiful (100 years old but nicely modernized) and the location was perfect - walking distance to town and to Carmel Beach both less than 10 or 12 minutes. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay,. What a great way to celebrate New Year's Eve & Day and a big birthday.

The home was absolutely beautiful and beds were comfortable. A perfect, short walk from town if you aren’t afraid of walking up a short hill for the last 2 minutes. A lovely stay that we would book again!! My only semi-negative (even putting the word negative in this review feels harsh) was they didn’t seem to bother with our early check in request beyond the generic message sent regarding it. That would’ve been above and beyond but we understand Fridays are busy days for them!! Highly recommend this property- it was a stunning experience from start to finish.

We called this a Fairytale House....everything was absolutely Wonderful and it felt like living a Dream!! The house was spotless and was so spacious! The little things in the house...like the moldings throughout the ceiling, the architecture, the FULLY stocked kitchen, little basket of throw blankets, the list goes on and on! I could totally live there! LOL! The location was also perfect! Walkable to both the beach and the town center. The views from the balconies of the canyons were great for bird watching. I also loved having the fireplaces....so homey. The hosts were always responsive and everything was very easy. I would stay here again in a minute!! Thank you for opening up such a cute house for us!

The house is nice, clean, and well-supplied. We appreciated the wine, cheese and crackers. We ran out of kitchen trash bags, and the bottom floor bedroom was chilly. Anticipating this, we brought a couple of portable space heaters from home and needed them. The bedroom did have a portable fan in the closet but not heaters.

Literally picture perfect Carmel experience.

The pictures don’t do justice to this home, and even looking from the street you cannot appreciate how beautiful the home is inside. Simply gorgeous! The upkeep of the home is impeccable. The modern amenities do not take away the originality and cozy cottage feel of the house. The cleanliness was outstanding, beds were very comfortable, and the staff left us a bottle of wine with crackers and cheese with a sweet note, all of which was a nice an enjoyable surprise. In my case, there was a miscommunication issue from the staff with whom I originally made the reservation, but it was promptly escalated to the manager and quickly resolved, so we were able to enjoy the property. We had a wonderful time and even talked about renting it again in the future for a family retreat.

Found it off putting that that checkout instructions require you to take out the trash and clean up. The fees are ample for this type of service to be provided.

It provided a central base for us to take numerous road trips. When the fireplace was not working, maintenance took care of it immediately.

I took 5 members of my professional Dental Team, along with my husband for a weekend get away! Your property was fabulous in every way! The location was perfect!

Stellar experience. Four nights at Stone's Throw did not disappoint. Perfect house for our family reunion. Very cozy and warm. Kitchen was fabulous. We made great use of it. Would love to stay at this property again.

We absolutely loved Stone's Throw! Just a short walk to downtown Carmel shops/restaurants and Pebble Beach, too! Patio was perfect gathering spot for our party of 6. House is well-equipped for cooking, also lots of cool puzzles and games for a night in. Sanctuary Rentals was very helpful! We will definitely be back!! .

We were able to rent Stones Throw, a 1920’s storybook house. It was truly enchanting! It is located in a quiet part of Carmel, walking distance to the beach, as well as the town. The gardens surrounding the cottage were lush & well maintained. The home was incredibly comfortable, accommodating 5 adults & a 1year old. The house was clean, had all you needed for cooking & plenty of space for relaxing. Roku was provided for the TV’s. We would love to stay again for longer than a week.

My husband and I took my parents to Carmel for a few days and were very pleased with our stay at Stone’s Throw. The house was very clean and the property was gorgeous. The view from the kitchen and dining area was picturesque and perfect for my parents to sit and relax. The house was super close to downtown, within walking distance or a very short drive. The house had all the amenities needed, including heaters for the downstairs bedroom which was a little cooler in temperature, plus everything needed to make breakfast/ dinner. The gas fireplace was an extra bonus since the weather was a little cooler than expected. We had a great stay and it was perfect for our getaway to fulfill my mom’s wish of visiting Carmel.

This home was even better in person! So much character while being very comfortable. With multiple living spaces and a game room our family of 6 had plenty of room. We loved walking into town and to the beach each day. Would stay here again!
