The place is a complete and total disappointment. Pictures are so deceiving. The place is expectedly old, but any remodel has long since outlived it's usefulness. The carpet is so old, stained and dirty that the cleaning performed at our complaining did little. The furniture, which was bargain basement to begin with, is so old, dirty and stained, broken down and uncomfortable from wear it is painful to sit on. And I am talking about all of it. There is not a decent place to sit in the whole house. There are cobwebs in every corner of the kitchen sky light. The windows throughout look as if they have not been washed since installation. The light fixtures were full of bugs and half the bulbs were burned out on arrival. On top of all these many features we learned there is a fulltime tenant in the basement disguised as acaretaker on the property. Staying here was a long 3 1/2 months. Especially at the price we paid. I am surprised you would represent and advertise a property of this quality.

This is a very comfortable house with two wonderful patios. The home sits on a steep hillside giving the back deck a real treehouse feeling. There is a big view of Pt Lobos in the distance. Back Patio is private and gets sun through day. It’s has older finishes inside, though the fire place and sitting area are just fine. Thanks to the property management co for such easy communication and professionalism.

Big thanks to the home owners and to Sanctuary for making our extended 6-month stay so comfortable and memorable. This gorgeous property is exactly as described. The furniture and decorations are really cool and tasteful. We loved the high lofted ceilings and the sunny deck. We didn't know it before booking, but you can see a bit of the ocean through the trees off the dining room corner window. This was such a pleasant surprise. We never had any maintenance issues or concerns...but we did interact with the property management team when they dropped off extra pillows and a surprise holiday gift. Very thoughtful! The location is amazing...very close to Route 1 (but no traffic noise at all). And just a two-minute car ride to downtown Carmel. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect for going on walks. The neighbors were super friendly and respectful. Plenty of parking. We would definitely stay here again in the future. This is the 3rd house we've rented from Sanctuary and all are highly recommended.
