35581 Beach Road: 4 BR, 4 BA House in Dana Point, Sleeps 8

Overall the house, location, and professionally managed hosting are good - but this was all negatively superseded by the property being under significant seawall reconstruction and remediation. Our stay was accompanied by active construction workers onsite during two of our four days performing full construction duties including personnel, noise, and work trucks blocking the limited parking. The hosting management company is completely out of the touch on the extent of construction duties being performed and the associated impacts to the enjoyment of the property.

The place is nice, but there was active construction for one full day of our stay which included construction workers in the backyard pouring concrete…between the house and the ocean. Not the view we were looking for and we were not notified that construction workers would be present until the day we showed up. Very disappointing.

The customer service was excellent. Some very minor comments: Garage wasn't usable for a car. There was a large ladder inside that we were unable to move. There is a coffee pot and Nesspresso but not a Keurig. Also bring foil and plastic wrap if you will be cooking. Salt and Pepper and other seasonings were there. Lots of pots and pans for cooking and a great BBQ. Showers are small which is indicative of the time these properties where built. I'm 5'7 and the shower head was at my eyes. The upgrades are beautiful, beds are like sleeping in a cloud, very cozy. We did have some minor issues at the guard gate even though the rental company communicated our guest names ahead of time. But again, we appreciate the security provided. The views were outstanding and we were lucky with full sun for each of our 4 days staying there. Lots of blankets to snuggle up with on the porch. We were there for a conference so we were not able to enjoy the surrounding attractions and restaurants.

Beautiful home right on the water. The sand patio was an added bonus for the kids.

Many houses on Beach Road no longer have a beach. This house provides you with a little beach or regardless of how high the tide is. Very clean and beautiful!

Our multigenerational family had a terrific time. Anything we needed was right here. Location is spectacular! Home cozy and front yard for our young ones provided an amazing ‘sand box’. Thank you for giving us the perfect place to create memories.

Unfortunately we caught overcast weather our whole stay but it was still wonderful. Wish they would’ve posted strict rules before our stay so we could adjust. Things like don’t use the white towels for removing makeup. The women went out and actually bought their own. The property truly is a gem.

This home is just as incredible as it looks in the photos. Everything was spotless, they had all the essentials plus extras, and the location and view is indescribable! The details of the home are all high end. Waking up to hear the ocean waves topped off the perfect experience!

Issues with locks. Looks like it’s directly on the beach but it’s t. Train passes right behind the house 24 hours a day.

Stayed at this property several years ago. Nice updates, awesome stay.

The property has been modernized, and was spotless. We shared the home with our daughter and son-in-law and their children. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us to spread out and enjoy the beautiful location. The rental sign-up process was unique in that we rented through VRBO, but then were interviewed and were required to sign rules provided by the management company. The only glitch was that the access code to the house had not been programmed when we arrived to check in, but management was responsive, and the situation was quickly resolved. We would definitely stay in this beautiful home again.
