3-Min Walk to Beach & Restaurants • Dog-Friendly • Fenced Yard

Our stay was largely great. The only drawback was a house being built next door, and work started around 7-7:30 most days, but that was just bad luck for us. For a small house, it lives big. Big LR and DR, good-sized bedrooms. Fenced yard. It was perfect for our visit to the golf tourney with our dogs, and our hosts gave us good info. It was close to everything we wanted to do, walking distance to all kinds of activities including shops, restaurants, the lighthouse, and the beach, which was awesome! Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time in St. Simmons. The cottage is a short walk to the beach and restaurants. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The fenced in backyard and water hose outside made it easy having our 2 dogs with us. The screened in front porch is perfect for relaxing outside. Alo, big thanks to the Emmons team for returning my laptop which I forgot at the house. We ll be back.

We walked to the beach every morning, cooked meals at home, and really appreciated both the outdoor shower and the fenced in yard.The house has seen some wear but it was clean, well appointed, and on a nice quiet street. Great shady and fenced back yard was perfect for the dog- a picnic table and chairs made a good spot to drink coffee and let him enjoy some outside time in teh mornings. Screened front porch as a great place to sit and watch passers by. Dont think the house had wifi - unless I missed it, but didn't see a router and saw no access instructions. Hardwired cable TV was fine howeveer.

Wonderful older cottage in a walkable neighborhood. Whole process was easy and the property was actually bigger than I anticipated. Loved the screened in porch. For some reason, the dogs took offense at the size of the fenced in backyard but they enjoyed early morning and evening walks to the beach. Can’t wait to visit the island again!

We had a great stay at this charming cottage. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were really comfortable. It really is just a 3-minute walk to the beach—we loved how easy it was to pop over for a swim or sunset. We also enjoyed biking around the area and taking nightly strolls into town for ice cream. Our dog Dolly especially loved the fenced backyard. Would absolutely stay here again!

The Normandy cottage was great for my small family trip to meet up with my son who is stationed in GA for the holidays. We had an issue with the front door lock at check in but a rep was less than a minute away with a key to open the door. There was a critter issue brought by the rain, but that was also handled very quickly considering it was the holidays. It is an older home with some water damage and smelled a bit musty because of the rain. Twin beds in second bedroom probably handle children's weight better than adults as the mattresses were very thin and the frames rickety. House was much larger than we expected, lovely furnishings and everything was extremely clean. Location was excellent as it is down the block from the beach, which we enjoyed on the two sunny days we had out of a week of rain. Walkable neighborhood, close to excellent restaurants and shops. Overall, it was a great stay and would probably stay again.

Impressed by cleanliness. Comfortable furnishings & well-equipped kitchen. Excellent wi-fi signal. Emmons staff were very responsive/helpful. Close/easy walk to beach, about 15-20min walk to restaurants (2 min drive & LOTS of free parking). Would definitely stay at The Normandy Cottage again.

Great location close to the beach and the Village. Fenced yard is a bonus for those bringing their four legged family members. Outdoor shower is always a plus!
