An excellent setting in a well appointed home. We very much enjoyed our stay.
The place and location was amazing. Would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful cabin off the beaten path but not too far from town and Yellowstone. Owners were wonderful.
The views were beautiful. The host was very kind and helpful. The cabin was well equipped with e verything we needed. It was a careful drive up the mountain, but well worth the drive. Highly recommend this rental.
Very beautiful home and views! The drive is a little long but worth it once you arrive at cabin
Danyelle is a great hostess and has a beautiful home. I would recommend her home to all friends heading that direction
Many core memories were created during our stay. My family was in awe of the scenery, the sound of the water below, the horses, and the hammock all before we even entered the house. Upon entering, forgetting that houses in MT don't usually have a/c, we made ourselves as comfortable as possible in the current heat wave. Thankfully, fans were provided along with advice on when to open/close windows. We (or rather, my teen) realized that our cell service was non-existent. I assumed that wifi would be present but upon further investigation, it was not listed as an amenity but was offered for an additional cost in the welcome notebook. While tempting, we chose to forego the connection (shhh, don't tell my kids ?) and accepted the off-grid challenge. It did not disappoint! Our first night there, we star-gazed and got to see a shooting star! Other nights we roasted smores over the propane firepit. Having the bear spray provided made us feel safer as well. Additionally, much to my delight, the Anne of Green Gables movie from the 80s was on-hand and I got to share one of my childhood faves with my family. I hadn't seen that movie in 25+ years and I recognized a large similarity between Anne and my youngest. We met the hostess, Danyalle, when her and hubs came to fill the horse's water trough. She gave us permission to feed them carrots! Beds were comfy and spice cabinet was well stocked (Old Bay!). Note: Due to a washed-out bridge, it now takes approx. 45 minutes to get to Gardiner.
We were looking for something with sufficient space for our three small children while being remote enough for a chance of wildlife viewing but still an easy drive to the North Yellowstone entrance at Gardiner. I under appreciated the drive from the property to the entrance (about 40 minutes) but was pleasantly surprised with how private the property is and the hospitality of the manager Danyelle. She reached out prior to arrival and offered route suggestions and advice for grocery purchases. She also checked in to make sure everything was up to our expectations. Our children loved interacting with the horses on site and playing on the hammock. There is a very large wraparound deck with views Northward of Paradise Valley and Emigrant Peak. You can hear the rush of nearby Rock Creek as you grill your steak on the included BBQ. All told, this was a tremendous location, provided you have the time to enjoy it. If you are looking for a crash pad with a quick, easy commute to the entrance and don’t plan on spending much time, stay at a tiny condo in Gardiner. But if you value the solace and connection with nature only a remote cabin can provide, this is a fantastic option.
Our family had a wonderful time at Danyalle's place. The house is comfortable, the kitchen is exceedingly well equipped compared to most vacation rentals, and the surroundings are absolutely stunning. (Horses out in the neighboring meadow were a big plus from my daughter's point of view :)). We've had some scary moments navigating the dirt road up the mountain, especially on the day it rained, but it all seemed worthwhile after getting there. I'm glad we had an SUV, though - it might be passable for a sedan but I would not want to be the one testing it out!
Danyalle was an excellent host. She answered promptly when we had questions or concerns. The property itself was beautiful and had plenty of space for 4 adults and 1 teenager. The only thing that could have made our stay better (and it was pretty well perfect) is if the floods in 2022 to the area hadn't taken out the bridge to cut the drive on dirt roads down by 5 miles, otherwise all 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There was perfect views of wildlife pretty well all day and sunrise/sunset to drink coffee or just spend time with your loved ones. I think we will definitely try to come back to 3 Mile Ranch as Danyalle truly made our stay memorable.
Beautiful Place! Very remote, lots of wildlife, stunning views, and the sound of the stream rushing made evenings and mornings a great hangout. We stayed here for our Yellowstone Trip one of the cool things we saw a lot of wildlife which is what we were looking for. especially on our journey to get to the location every day. so remote we often had no cell service so communication could be challenging. The views and location are worth it especially if you're wanting to just get away from everything. Loved It!
If you have ever wanted to stay in a mountain home, where you can't see or hear other cars, houses, but only have the sound of the wind and the surrounding wildlife this is the house for you. Just a few short miles (21) north of the YellowStone North entrance and the city of Gardiner, MT and very close to the YellowStone Hot Springs in Corvin, both of which we visited and found to be very hospitable. With my group of 6 (family and friends) we made our ascent up the mountain in the early morning hours (1AM) and entered into the wonderful embrace of a clean, well-equipped house with, we discovered in the morning, sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and wildlife close to hand from the panoramic decking and through the large windows. The sound of the river rushing by far below us was so amazing. Can't say enough about Danyelle and her organization. Her house was setup with everything we needed for cooking (spices galore), taking showers (great pressure and plenty of hot water), and resting up from the rest of life. No internet, no problem . . . play games/have a conversation/make dinner with your whole family. We'll be looking for her property(ies) again the next time we are in Montana.
Beautiful view from the deck and inside house. Very quiet and peaceful. Saw elk, deer, blue grouse, and ruffed grouse from the deck. Very much enjoyed the stay and may go back again in the future.
Had a wonderful experience here! The cabin is big enough for five adults comfortably. Very clean, 2 bathrooms and fully equipes kitchen. The views are absolutely amazing, loved watching the sunrise with coffee from the deck.
We were very pleasantly surprised by how secluded the property was. The views were incredible and the sound of the creek was very pleasant and soothing. The 2-3 mile drive up and down the gravel road was well-worth it. The house had all the amenities it advertised. We really enjoyed spending time on the deck looking at the mountains, coffee in the morning, drinks in the evening and stargazing at night. We will definitely come back if we plan another visit to the area.
If you’re looking for a cozy getaway home in Montana this property is a must !!!! With gorgeous views and all the comforts of home this property was exactly what we were looking for. Danyelle was a super host and so very accommodating. I can’t wait to come back and do it again when North entrance of Yellowstone opens . Don’t hesitate ; book your stay in Emigrant MT. Thank you Danyelle and Rob !!
Property was as advertised, the house was clean and stocked with anything you may have forgotten to bring. The view was amazing! Looking through the binoculars at the wild life on the hillside across the creek was entertaining, it kept my active son in law busy in the down time. Hope to return in a couple years.
What a treat! With views of the mountains and the sound of a rushing river, this comfortable home gave us everything we needed away from home, including rest and rejuvenation. We didn't even miss not having wifi or cell coverage! I'm so glad that we had a powerful vehicle to pull us up the mountain and around mountainous corners - very adventurous! Thank you for giving us an awesome stay!!
