The house is great, clean and cozy. Well stocked and everything labeled. Great location for shopping, restaurants, grandfather mountain and winery. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Great weekend getaway for a girl's trip. It was also nice having the fenced backyard for the doggies. Highly recommend! Thank you for everything!

This cabin was perfect for our family of four. We were up for a few days for a campus tour of ASU. The cabin was super close to Boone, and literally walkable to Appalachian ski mountain. The cabin was super clean, cozy, and spacious. Everything we needed, was nice and warm on super cold nights, and had a beautiful view out of every window. Book this cabin, you want regret it!

I can’t say enough about our stay!!! The house was extremely clean and has a lot of space! Extremely close to the slopes which was a huge plus for us! Owners are easy to get a hold of and are very kind. The worst thing about our stay is that we had to leave. We will definitely be back!

This property was perfect for our needs. It was extremely pet friendly with room for them to play on porch as well as a fenced in back yard. The rooms were quiet and restful, and the location was very close to all attractions.

We had a comfortable stay at the Shady Chalet, and were so thankful to find a place that could accommodate our large family of 6 so close to Appalachian! Melissa’s check-in/out instructions were clear and easy to follow. We had everything we needed to cook our meals, do laundry, and enjoy the outdoor spaces.

House literally had everything we needed! Down to a crockpot! Only issue we had was the beds- the downstairs one is hard as can be, really had a hard time sleeping on it, husbands back ended up hurting really bad. The kids room, the bunk beds were very wobbly and noisy and again the beds were very hard, kids ended up sleeping on the couches downstairs. Besides that the house was literally perfect. Would stay again if the beds were switched out! Thanks for the stay!

Great place to stay if you're going to Appalachian Ski, or if attending an App State game, like we did! This cabin had extremely comfortable beds and well stocked with everything we would need. Highly recommend!

OUTSTANDING! This home has all the comforts you would hope for (comfy beds, nice showers, plenty of kitchen supplies, etc.), but it also has so many additional details like labeled remotes and lights, and extra items for little ones and dogs! The attention to detail in service of the guests is SUPERB!! Communication was immediate and always helpful. This was by far the easiest and smoothest check out we have ever had at a rental! Highly recommend staying here!!

Felt like home. This had everything we needed and then some. Great front porch swing! The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. If we come out this way in the future, we would book here again

The property and location was great for us. Melissa is easy to communicate with and check in super easy. I gave a 3 for listing details. The house is on a single lane gravel road only one way in and out. It was maintained but no room for error and it gets super dark at night. No street lights. I think it's a detail worth mentioning. On the flip side no white lights so sleeping was great! I would definitely recommend staying if you were going to ski at Appalachian Ski Resort. It's super quiet and peaceful.

Our family of 4 and two small pups enjoyed our stay! The drive was easy getting to in the dark. The house is prefect and very well organized with labels everywhere for example on the light switches. The fenced in back yard is prefect for the pups to play. We LOVED that there was no carpet! We will be back for sure!!!!!

It's a great location and looks to be very dog friendly. Only 15 min to downtown Boone & 15 Min to Blowing Rock. We didn't bring the dogs this time but will definitely keep it in mind the next time visiting the area. If you find my toothbrush let me know. I think I left it.

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin in Blowing Rock. The cabin was spotless and well-maintained, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. It had all the necessities we needed for a relaxing vacation, from a well-equipped kitchen to cozy bedding and plenty of extra amenities. The location was perfect for enjoying the surroundings, and the peaceful atmosphere made it even better. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well-stocked cabin getaway!

We had 4 adults and 4 young kids. It was a blast and SUPER close to the slopes. Perfect yard for our very large dog too.

This house was such a great experience. All the reviews are accurate. Melissa was responsive and so easy to work with. This house is located walking distance to App Mountain (my 13&18 yr olds walked with their boards and boots). And easy to access boone and blowing rock. It does suggest 4wd for the winter and I would highly recommend this during the cold weather. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay! Out host was kind and very quick to respond. The cabin had everything we needed including a grill in the back deck! You will enjoy the cozy den with a warm fireplace and comfy blankets to snuggle up in. The children enjoyed the double bunkbeds and the king beds were very comfortable as well. Additionally, the location is off the road and up the mountain (so there's a nice view) but minutes away from area attractions . We really enjoyed out weekend stay and highly recommend it.

My family and I stayed at this cabin for our destination Christmas. When we arrived, we immediately noticed how well kept and clean the property was. I feel like the home is bigger in person than the photos lead on. The host was responsive and friendly. The ski resort was just down the street and so were other attractions. I highly recommend staying here.
