Stayed Aug 2, 2025Loved our peaceful stay at Parkview. We were welcomed as we arrived down the farm track by a flyby from the barn owl (whose barn we could see from the end of the back garden). Garden and fields surrounded the property and it is obviously a haven for many varieties of birds. The well equipped and comfortable bungalow had all we needed. The red velvet sponge cake, flowers and milk on arrival were all very welcome. We made use of the apple tree in the garden plus blackberries to make a delicious crumble! Great location for visits to the beach (Crockletts, Summerleaze, Sandymouth, Duckpool, Widemouth Bay) as well as day trips (Carnglaze Caverns, Bodmin Jail, a wash to Hawkers Hut combined with visit to Rectory tea rooms). Had some good meals at the New Inn in Kilkhampton and great Muscles, chicken wings and cocktails at Life’s a Beach in Bude with fantastic views over summerleaze beach. We’ll be back!
