The fully fenced, dog-friendly backyard is a true highlight, featuring a covered patio and a brick outdoor fireplace. Plus a Game Room with foosball and more. Walk to McMinnville’s historic downtown, and explore chef-driven restaurants, tasting rooms, breweries, and boutique shopping—plus a short stroll to Linfield University.

We respect your privacy, but we're always here if you need us. You'll enjoy self check-in, and we're available via phone/text or messages through the booking platform if anything comes up during your stay - plus local recommendations.

Nestled on a quiet street in McMinnville, the 1939 Vintage House is just a 5-block walk to McMinnville's famous Third Street, and just a couple of blocks to Linfield University. Downtown, walk to dozens of wine tasting rooms to discover award-winning Oregon wines, chef-driven restaurants, artisan boutiques, galleries, and seasonal festivals, or attend football games, graduations, and the International Pinot Noir
Festival at Linfield.

Guests have private access to the entire home and the backyard, except for a locked room upstairs, a locked and closed-off area in the basement, and the garage, which is also locked. We use these areas for storage, and they are not available to guests. Self-check-in is easy via a secure keypad. You'll receive detailed check-in instructions prior to your arrival.

Step into this beautifully restored 1939 Vintage House, originally built by a Linfield College professor and filled with timeless character. Warm and spacious, the home features restored original hardwood floors, charming built-ins, high ceilings, and a cozy fireplace, along with original chair rail, cove, and picture rail trim. Throughout the home, you’ll notice thoughtful period details, such as original 1939 brushed-copper light fixtures, original dust catchers lining the stairway, and artwork hung from the picture rail in the traditional style—creating an authentic 1939 vintage look.

Main Floor Layout: The main level features an open floor plan, high ceilings, and a spacious living room centered around a charming bay-window seating nook. The dining room is equally inviting, surrounded by original built-ins and highlighted by a classic 1939 brushed copper chandelier. The fully remodeled kitchen blends modern convenience with vintage charm, featuring a wall of windows overlooking the backyard—keeping you connected to the outdoor fun while guests gather, and grill steps away.

Bedroom & Bath Layout (Main Floor): For added comfort and privacy, the two main-floor bedrooms are located on opposite ends of the home—ideal for couples, families, or friends traveling together. The primary bedroom features a king bed, while the second bedroom offers a queen bed, with a full bathroom conveniently located between the two rooms. This bathroom also serves as the home’s main bathroom, making the layout easy and functional for everyday use.

Upstairs + Bonus Spaces: Upstairs, you’ll find a third bedroom, privately tucked away, with a second full bathroom at the top of the stairs—perfect for guests who want a little extra separation. The upstairs landing also offers a dedicated workspace with a desk, chair, and reading lamp, ideal for remote work or extended stay. Downstairs in the basement, the Game Room adds even more fun, featuring a life-size chalkboard, foosball table, and extra games/puzzles. Adjacent to the game room is the laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer for longer stays.

Backyard Living: The backyard is truly the showstopper of this home. On one side, enjoy a fully covered patio with a brick fireplace—enclosed on three sides to create a year-round open-air, outdoor space, perfect for gathering, grilling, or relaxing by the fire. On the other side of the yard, you can spread out and soak up the sun with lounge seating and unwind while you watch your pups run and play.

Uber and Lyft are available in McMinnville and all the surrounding small towns. Once you arrive, if you plan to visit downtown McMinnville, you can walk anywhere and won't need a car. But if you want to explore the countryside, you'll want a car, hired driver, or wine tour (we'll send our favorite local options after booking).

Traveling with a larger group Ask about the Cowls Bungalow & Carriage House, and the Wine Country Farmhouse - all in downtown McMinnville.

Morning Coffee: Enjoy locally roasted whole bean coffee from Table Top Roasters in Yamhill. In the kitchen, there will be a drip coffee maker, coffee grinder, creamer, and sugar.

Fully Stocked Kitchen: Open the cabinets and drawers, and you'll find everything you need to whip up a quick meal or cook and bake your favorite holiday meals. The kitchen is also supplied with a spice rack, olive oil, vinegar, BBQ utensils, a meat thermometer, hot-pads, kitchen towels, and extra paper towels.

Dog Friendly: We welcome your dog, and there is plenty of room for them to roam in the fully fenced backyard. (See our dog policy, but if your situation is a little different, don't hesitate to ask management to see if we can accommodate).

Free Parking: As you pull up to the house, there is a paved parking space in front of the garage. You can also park on the street for free.

Connectivity: High-speed Wi-Fi suitable for streaming and remote work.

SmartTV: Connect to your favorite app channels, and there are 100's of live TV shows, news, movies, and music.

Upstairs Landing Workspace: The upstairs landing has a table and two chairs. There is also a larger comfy chair with a reading lamp. Upstairs, there is a WIFI extender to ensure fast connectivity at all times.

This is a charming house in an excellent location. Short walk to downtown, Linfield, and Walgreens (if you need something quick). I stayed with my family and it was perfect. We have rented from the host a couple times and she is THE BEST. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a responsive host, clean house, great location, and lovely stay in McMinnville.

My husband and I enjoyed this rental especially because of the short walking distance to downtown McMinnville, the driving distance to the coast, the comfortable bed and the cozy electric fireplace.

I cannot recommend this home enough! I have probably stayed at over 25 VRBO properties over the last 25 years, and this was the best appointed and most comfortable one to date. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bedding and extra linens are so comfy, the bath towels were luxurious and abundant, the extra paper goods were very appreciated, and the outdoor fireplace was so inviting. We really appreciated the host's very clear and detailed instructions for everything. The home is in a cute residential neighborhood a little over a half mile from the super quaint downtown center and just around the corner from a Walgreens. During our walk to downtown, we passed beautiful apple trees and breathtaking fall foliage. I can go on and on. This was the PERFECT base for two couples to spend four nights while wine tasting and exploring Willamette Valley. My only complaint is that the beautiful wooden floors creaked during early morning potty breaks, but that's part of the home's charm and can't be helped. It's a great house!!!

we were all impressed with the house. It was a lovely older property with original details and modern updates. it was well supplied with everything in the kitchen, even had olive oil. it was spacious for 4 adults and also nice to have some outside private space. The basement would be a bonus if you have kids.

Our company, Phenix Solutions, is located in McMinnville and we needed accomidations for a lenghty stay for some of our senior engineers as well as our COO to stay at. House is beautiful and perfect and beds were very comfortable. I appreciate the extra touches such as high quality linens and towels that smell fresh! Kitchen was well stocked for our holiday cooking. Loved the short walk to 3rd street! Like many small towns on the west coast - McMinnville has a homelessness problem and the property’s close proximity to downtown places it very close to those issues. There were some characters in the neighborhood but we did not experience crime.

This home was a good fit for our stay in Willamette Valley. Probably more room than we needed for 3 of us, and we didn’t spend a lot of time at the home except to sleep but it seemed to have everything we needed. Like any older home it has its quirks and creaks, but overall it was a good stop. Walkability to downtown was the best and walks and runs thru the university were beautiful. Two blocks from the farmer’s market and central to a lot of wineries made it nice as well.

This was a good base for our girls wine tasting trip. Easily walkable to coffee/restaurants/shops. Beds were comfy, nice front room for morning coffee and chats. Didn't use the kitchen for anything other than coffee but it had everything you'd need! 3 bedrooms - 1 king and 2 queens.

The location is great for walking to Third Street but it is a block off a very noisy, busy road. It was clean but had a musty, old house smell. The manager was very gracious to try to mitigate it but it didn’t really work since the windows can’t be opened. The photos of the landscaping are outdated and the yard needs a lot of work. The manager was very responsive.
