1876 Eyebrow Colonial Home on 36 acres, with pool and fully loaded game room

My family of 5 stayed at this property for a ski weekend, we happened to pick the weekend of the big snow storm! Our host Jim was communicative and thorough in sharing details about the property so we could make the most of it and checked in during our stay to make sure everything okay and if we had any questions. It’s a great home that is super clean and well maintained with lots of charm and character. A lot thought went into decorating the spaces as well. I hope to return in warmer months to explore the trails and the pool!

Spacious, warm, comfortable, charming 1876 country home with plenty of amenities. Scenic property. A full game room with pool, baci, ping-pong, fuse ball, and the like. Owner very accommodating. Everything you need for a restful and fun time! Good aesthetics.

My husband and I met our son and his family at this beautiful home. There were 6 of us ranging in ages from 2 years to 65 years. We all had a fantastic time! The house was clean, private, well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the hot tub (robes and towels were provided) and the game room was a family favorite. Lots of interesting things to explore and try! Property is close to Woodstock and Phonecia, grocery stores, restaurants and activities. We were happy building a fire outside, roasting marshmallows and hanging out together. Lots of property to explore and enjoy nature. Our son’s city dog must have run miles chasing wildlife! We want to come back in the summer to enjoy the pool. Everything was as advertised, check in was a breeze, communication with Jim was easy! Great property! Thank you so much for the memories.

This house is like a warm hug from a down-to-earth, fun-loving, secretly luxurious friend. The pool and hot tub were beautiful and clean. It's a place to hang out OR be active. The game barn is a standout feature. The beds are comfy, rooms full of soulful yet hard-wearing antiques, kitchen is stocked, and the host is so solicitous and makes you feel like family. We truly did not want to leave!

How to describe the most wonderful stay? Jim’s house is full of life and character - my family and I had everything we needed and more. We loved the game room, the pool and hot tub, the backyard patio, the teepee - as well as every room in the house. We were comfortable and relaxed and inspired! I would highly recommend this property to anyone - except I want to keep it a secret for myself! Really perfect.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. Jim was so nice, easy to work with and accessible It was clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels for the pool and baths. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. The two fourteen year olds loved it. Especially loved the game room. They spent a lot of time in there. They also took a walk on the trail. We didn’t hear the words “I’m bored” once. Kitchen is stocked. There are board games and books and DVDS. What an amazing vacation.

1876 Eyebrow Colonial Home was an idyllic vacation spot for our extended family. The house and grounds are perfectly charming. The pool, hot tub, gardens and barn provided lots of fun entertainment for the whole family and a relaxing setting to hang out. Jim was very helpful and accommodating. His thoughtful hospitality provided everything we needed to enjoy and explore the beautiful surrounding area. We highly recommend this special property.

We had such a lovely stay here with my kids and dogs this summer. Jim was great communicating and he really is on top of taking care of his beautiful home! We can't wait to go back next year!

This property was perfect for a family to get away. The house is just outside of town and has a great property, great game room and great outside pool area.

We chose this house to spend time with our family and spend quality time together. The house has many interesting features and areas to relax. Kitchen was well equipped and the separate pantry was a plus. We made good use of the Barn/ game room. We had our own family Olympics. Jaime was east to reach at all times. We will cherrish our family time.

Jim’s home is the most perfect rental- the best we’ve stayed at by far! Aside from the gorgeous house, grounds and game room, there are also so many touches that make this property feel like a home away from home. No detail has been spared and I truly can’t recommend it more highly. We are hoping to be back as it was a wonderful stay!

Perfect location for a relaxing girls weekend. We loved the peace and quiet, the hot tub, the fireplace and all the quaint, interesting decor. Would love to stay here again!

We were so happy to have found this gem at the foothills of the Catskills. It wa a perfect respite for our family during the Christmas holiday. The location, warmth of the property, and a little snow made it so much fun and homey. The hot tub was an awesome way to celebrate the end of the day. Jim gave us outstanding support and caring throughout the visit. This home would be a treasure at any time of the year.

James was very attentive. when we called with questions he stayed on the phone until we found everything. It was a charming farmhouse. We styed the last weekend in November and it snowed. That was beautiful my only disappointment was the hot tub is a distance from any door. So it was a chilly walk in and out. I we would definently go back in the summer for the poo;and the beautiful backyard.

This was our third time staying here, and that’s because there’s no reason to look for another property. Jim always is great with communication, and I’ve noticed he has listened to any “negatives” in the reviews and has addressed them. This is our first time here in the fall, and we still had plenty to do: Game room is always a delight; internet works great; the big comfy couch is perfect for a movie night; the backwoods are a great adventure; house was clean; beds are comfortable; badminton in the front had us running around like we were teenagers again; found serenity in the soaking tub (as did my husband for the first time in his life!); jacuzzi was clean; the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided are devine… and these memories will last forever. We truly feel at HOME when we come, and we WILL be back for a fourth time. HIGHLY recommend this property for any family and/or friends… a short ride to town will have you thinking about becoming a local 😂

I recently stayed at this property for a long weekend with my family and had an amazing time! The house has something for everyone to do and plenty of space to spread out. My 7 year old son adored the game room and it kept him busy for hours. The property is located halfway between Woodstock and Phoenicia so there are lots of restaurants and grocery stores. Jim makes your entire stay a piece of cake from check-in to dinner recommendations. Don't hesitate to book- you'd be missing out!

We had an amazing time at the Eyebrow Colonial Home. This was a gathering with our adult children. We utilized so much of what the property and home had to offer. Everyone had their own space and bathroom, we cooked a family dinner, and enjoyed the many seating areas inside and outside. Hot tub! Hiking on the property! Deer sighting! Fire pit! And of course the game room. Popped in there everyday for games, laughter, and wonderful family bonding. Easy access to Woodstock and other outdoor adventures. Highly recommend!

This property and its owners have piece of paradise in this home. When they say it’s fully stocked they mean you have everything you could need or want. That said the surroundings were beautiful even breathtaking at times with star filled skies and sunset Mountain View’s. Their amenities were countless. We played we soaked we swam with plenty of room to relax and spread out. Beds were comfy, bathrooms lovely and the decor and ambience perfect. You can’t noo ea visit to this property

This is our 2nd stay to this beautiful colonial farmhouse...and already planning to make it a 3rd. This house feels like a home..it's warm..and inviting..you'll see fresh cut flowers waiting for you upon your arrival. Amenities galore and more... Spent much time with my daughter and her 2 boys ages 3 n 6 in the pool..making a fire inside the pool area fire pit.cooking up smorges..Did I not mention the hot tub..Geeze!!! great nite sleep after!! We all enjoyed the jacuzzi wirh added bubbles. The beds are comfortable.. It's quality all the way!! Host Jim I love his ease..flexibility and availability. Jim gives his full attention and ensures a safe memorable and uneventful stay. Jim..Your the best host!!
