Welcome to The Bear Den Cabin at Lazy Bear Lodging! Come and relax in the Rocky Mountains in the town of Hungry Horse. Our cabins are located 10 miles (12-minute drive) from the west entrance to Glacier National Park and in the northern portion of the Flathead Valley. Our building is on 1.5 acres and borders Forest Service land.
Inside the cabin you will find 2 queen beds, one with a log bed frame and the other has a canoe boat frame.

Stayed Jul 22, 2025Check in was very easy and the details were given ahead of time. Everything was very clean. Only problem was that there wasn’t a hair dryer, but no big deal at all. Not really the host’s fault. Someone must’ve stole it.

Stayed Jun 18, 2024Our family had a great stay at the Lazy Bear Lodging, and I can't recommend this place highly enough! It is just minutes drive away from the west entrance of Glacier National Park, so it was an excellent base for our trip. We stayed here for three nights, and it felt just like home for us. Our kids totally enjoyed the little playing area in the backyard. Laura is a fantastic host, she was very prompt with every single question we asked. She was thoughtful enough to keep a few kid toys in the living room, which our kids had a lot of fun playing with. She was also kind enough to supply us with step stools for our kids - can't thank her enough for her hospitality! We will definitely consider it again next time we visit Glacier National Park.

Stayed Aug 5, 2023We can’t say enough great things about our stay. Laura was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. When we arrived the cabin was exactly as pictured, clean and had everything you could think of. Coolers, ice packs, a full kitchen, plenty of towels for the week. Beds were so comfortable. Location is perfect! Minutes from Glacier, Columbia Falls and close to Whitefish to enjoy dinner in the evening. We loved our stay at Lazy Bear!

Stayed Jun 28, 2023The Christiana's keep these cabins in top shape, everything was extremely clean. Gas grill was perfect for saving a couple bucs. Host Laura was always quick to respond to my many emails even after our stay. You can't go wrong staying here. Just minutes from the west gates of glacier and in my opinion Hungry Horse is the best town in the area. Also my thanks to keeping a can of bear spray for us to borrow, we nearly needed it. It was an amazing vacation we saw moose, bears (one too close), deer, goats, sheep, osprey, eagles and tons of little critters. Only thing missing was a golden eagle oh well next time. We will definitely be planning to stay here on our next visit. The comfiness of this cabin is perfect to come back to after a long day of hiking or rafting.
