IN TOWN of Hungry Horse, 12 minutes Glacier National Park

Security camera showing the shared driveway. This has been a home, not a commercially built cabin. You’ll feel the difference.
Young and young at heart really like this small, (400 sq ft) but very cozy cabin; older folks, not so much, mainly because of only 12” along sides of Queen bed. We were comfortable with that, you may be too.

You’ll be happy to know, we have Always DISINFECTED between each guest and ofc, continue to do so: remotes, light switches, handles, knobs, mattress cover, and more.

Winter and summer adventures await you while staying in Hungry Horse. Cross Country skiing, snow shoeing, snowcat tours, horse backing riding through the snow in the winter. Hiking, white water rafting, fishing, helicopter rides plus more in the summer. Walk to grocery store, restaurants: Huckleberry Land, Huckleberry Patch, Canyon Cafe, Tex and Jerry’s, The Big Bear, laundry, and more. Many restaurants on way to Park or in Whitefish. 10 miles to Glacier National Park, 16 miles to Whitefish and Kalispell Airport (FCA) is only 14 miles away. One block from RT 2.
This is a nice neighborhood with good peeps who own their own homes/trailers. You can expect to be waved and smiled at. We are the only rental and invite you to be a good neighbor. :=)

Columbia Falls is home to Backslope Brewing Company serving burgers and their own brews. You can taste all their brews for free, before choosing.
Gunshot Saloon, opens at 4pm. Live music. May still be serving Waygu beef burgers. Waygu very expensive and famous in Japan. Cattle now grown locally
Flathead Fish & Seafood Company sells frozen local Waygu beef and more plus
Perfect Cuts butcher shop gets great reviews.

The Whiskey Barn has samples, minimal charge from their distillery
American Indian fried bread is served with dinner at the Night Owl, one of the few places left serving this delicious bread.
Steak, go to Jagz, just past the airport.
Belton Chalet, West Glacier, is our favorite for outside dining. Reservations some years. This changes
The Big Bear, walking distance, across hwy 2 breakfast, lunch (sporadically open). When closed we go to our choice, The Backroom at The Night Owl…huge breakfast. My neighbor prefers Montana Coffee Traders.
Three Forks Grill in Columbia Falls serves good wine and dinner.

Great location for visiting Glacier National Park. Well stocked kitchen and all the toiletries you could possibly need. Very comfy and cozy with fantastic hosts that provided maps, brochures and messages about things to do in the area and the best places to eat. Definitely one of our favorite places to stay.

Too many good things to say, great communication, beautiful little cabin, information on hike, bear spray & walking poles provided! We loved our stay here, can’t recommend it enough.

We loved our stay in the little log cabin! It was just the perfect amount of space and the location in relation to both the Music festival and Glacier couldn’t have been better! The hosts were responsive and sweet. Lots of great local insights provided that were helpful. The sharing shack was such a great idea! We would definitely come stay again!

We loved our stay here! The cottage was exactly as described; quaint and very clean, and very thoughtfully supplied including bear spray, hiking poles, a basket of snacks, a book about day hikes at Glacier (which we found very informative and took with us into the park to check the information), rain ponchos, and bath robes. We were celebrating our 15th anniversary and Jennifer even left us a small gift, card, and homemade huckleberry dessert! The location was very conveniently located on a quiet side street. We wouod absolutely stay here again!

The cabin was exactly what we needed. Immaculate! Everything we needed and the location was perfect. Very quiet neighborhood. She even had baked cookies and the sweetest gift for our 50th anniversary. So very thoughtful.

We enjoyed our stay at this nice little cabin. Bed very comfortable. Really thoughtfully equipped: host provided supplies included bear spray, umbrellas, cooler, shampoo & conditioner!Location is good for west-side access to Glacier National Park. It is a block off the main road. We weren’t bothered by noise, but we sleep with earplugs.

Wonderful stay! So many little “extras” showed the hosts really care about their guests. Cabin was very comfortable, communication was almost immediate, and we loved all the information provided about local attractions, suggested activities, easy vs more difficult hiking trails, favorite restaurants, etc. They even remembered we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and wished her a happy birthday in their welcome note! Our only complaint is that we didn’t get to see any bears- our own faults for coming after they started hibernating… maybe next time. Excellent stay, overall!

Our stay was only 4 nights and the cabin was exactly as described. Everything we needed was there including extras in the medicine cabinet and snacks in the living room. Our hosts always answered quickly and had great books there for local attractions. It was a nice private location but close to Glacier and local restaurants and activities. Thanks for a great vacation!
