Stayed Sep 24, 2023A large group of women hikers gathered and this was our base. We loved the facility with it’s comfortable beds, private rooms, industrial kitchen, and deep shaded porches. We highly recommend this property which was clean and is managed by a very responsive property manager

Stayed Jun 26, 2022The Old School House provided the perfect venue for our group of golf friends. Everyone had their own private bedroom and bath. The common area was a generous space for all to relax and share meals without feeling crowded. And the historic ambience was an added bonus. What a gem in Montrose.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We loved our time at the Old School Lodge! It was perfect for ten childhood friends having a reunion. The rooms were very comfortable and the gathering area is huge!

Stayed Jul 6, 2019This rental worked well for our group which was mostly 4 wheel drive enthusiasts. Trails as close as 20 minutes from the house on the plateau west of HWY 550. Silverton is about an hour’s drive. Plenty of parking for tow rigs and trailers on the property. Only downfall no AC, but we brought along a box fan to put in the window at night.....worked well with the ceiling fan. It actually wasn’t bad during the day as long as windows and shades were closed early. With 90+ degrees during the day and coming from a person who doesn’t do heat well, it was surprisingly comfortable/tolerable without AC.
