Welcome to The Morrill Mansion Inn! This 1800's era townhouse has been meticulously restored to its original Italianate elegance. Formerly the Morrill Mansion Bed & Breakfast, we recently dropped the breakfast to serve Airbnb & VRBO guests near and far as a boutique hotel.

Each room has a private ensuite bath, queen sized bed, smart TV (no cable but YouTube TV account), white noise machine, a reading chair (or couch depending on the room), mini fridge, & one parking spot for *compact cars* only.

The space:

This historic home was built in the early 1800s for one of the founders of the B&M Factory (the M stands for Morrill). Up until 2021, the B&M factory had been exclusively making B&M beans and their infamous smoke stack was a staple in the Portland Skyline. What started as a single family home, the Morrill Mansion saw many other uses before morphing into a bed and breakfast in the 1990s, and recently dropped the breakfast to serve Airbnb guests near and far. Architectural details that make the home unique have been restored and modern amenities have been added to make your stay in Portland comfortable.

With just eight guest rooms, our inn offers a peaceful stay satisfying social guests or those seeking solace. Each private room, with private ensuite bath, is furnished with a queen sized bed, television (not your traditional cable, we have a smart TV with a YouTube TV account which offers live channels), white noise machine, a reading chair (or couch depending on the room), and a mini fridge. During the summer months (May through October) each room has a window AC unit and during heating season each room has their own Rinnai heater which allows you to control your own heat.

The guest rooms share the sitting room located on the first floor which has a coffee station and luggage nook for guests who need storage before and/or after check out.

***WINTER PARKING: If we should have a snow storm, the day after the storm, we are required to remove all cars from the parking area so it can be properly cleaned out. From 9am through 3pm cars must be moved. Closest street parking with no time restrictions is about a half mile away so its a good time to explore the sites downtown or in our neighboring cities! The host will message through the Airbnb website/app the day of snow removal and any car left in the parking area will be charged a $100 fee***

Other things to note:
From November through March, we will be completing light renovations between 10am and 5pm. During this time you may hear hammering, chop saws, thuds, etc.

My stay at the Morrill Mansion was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the charm and elegance of the property. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between historic character and modern comfort. The room was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully appointed with everything I needed to feel at home. The attention to detail—from the décor to the amenities—was clear and made the stay that much more enjoyable.

This is a gorgeous place to stay and close to what I would call the cool part of town. The room was lovely, everything was clean and well thought out, and the owner was responsive and helpful. I would without a doubt want to stay here again.

I worked in Portland area for nearly many years and returned to visit old friends and family after being away for some time. From the start, Katrina, the owner, was helpful and responsive. The accommodations were clean and exactly as advertised. It was extremely warm outside and the excellent window air conditioner kept me cool. The bathroom and closet space were very good. On site parking was convenient. For a newbie, the neighborhood can be a bit daunting. This end of Congress St and nearby streets have a grittiness and transient population that can be offputting to some. I never felt in danger, but it is very different from the more active, eastern side of Portland. Overall, 5-star stay!

Great place to stay for the night. The bed was a little hard for my preference but the room was clean and nicely decorated.

We had the best time there! Very quiet, clean, and cozy. Walking distance to Tandem coffee where we had breakfast every morning! Loved exploring Portland and surrounding towns while we were there. Came and went as we pleased and always had a place to park.

This inn is one of the most charming and high quality vacation rentals I’ve had the pleasure of staying at recently! I loved all the little touches of live plants, vintage furniture, art, and rugs! I only wish we could’ve stayed longer!

I was able to meet with each of my adult children, relax and have some coffee and conversation on the first floor as well as time in my assigned room. Proximity to them and the downtown area were also positive to my time there. thanks again.

Great communication, easy checkin, clean, updated room, comfy bed. I stayed in Portland for a night to see a show at the State Theatre. I couldn't have asked for a better spot. As a bonus, it was only about a 10 min walk to the show.
