LRBC is a very special, highly rated and unique retreat as it is beautiful and private, on a large property with direct access to all sorts of water activities.
Our specialty is serving families, groups, academic or business teams looking for a special location to accommodate meaningful events. In the Spring and Fall, we are also able to support individual artists, writers and thinkers with their own cottages to create, work or just decompress.
The property offers two distinct homes (the Boat House and the Sea Studio), a small private marina, a large dock as well as a recreation field and abundant parking on 3 private acres along a tranquil waterfront paradise. The site offers the ability for both group gathering, exploration and play inside and out - as well as privacy when you want to get away. For larger groups, LRBC also offers an event Barn and Sleeping Loft upon special request. This requires direct conversation to confirm suitability for use and booking.
The Boat House is a modern, crafted gem offering 300 degrees of waterfront and views in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath home. Perched on a dock 80' out on the water. Sleeps 4.
The Sea Studio is inspired by a ship captains suit to provide a private and perfect 600 sf studio with private deck and bath. The result is a romantic and beautiful retreat. Sleeps 2.
The Sea Studio and Boat House are now available to be booked individually outside the months of July and August, though this requires direct communication with you and us to confirm individual pricing. Bookings for Sea Studio will have a 3 day minimum. Boat House a 5 day minimum. Guests for the Boat House will be limited to 4 adult family members (plus children) and the Sea Studio 2 adults (plus one child).
The recently completed Barn Residence (event space and sleeping loft) is the first completed portion of the new 3,000 sf Farmhouse Complex construction. The Barn is available for rental with direct arrangements. The loft sleeps 4.
Our overnight site capacity will be 6-10 depending on sleeping arrangements and adult/children ratios. Bookings for more than 6 adults requires booking of the barn loft.
While LRBC offers an unparalleled summer playground, the spring, fall and winter seasons cannot be beat for the access to quiet natural beauty. The grounds are beautiful through all four seasons.
The Marina is small and private, and is limited to a few LRBC members for day-use. There is a dock space and mooring reserved for our residential guests. Launch and keep your own small craft from here. Or, kayaks, row boats and open water rowing shells are available for on-site rental. Charter sail and power boats are available locally and can pick you up from here!
To stay connected: access the business grade high-speed internet and flat screen monitors. We have disconnected from cable TV for our sanity.
Oh yea: our beds are very high quality and special: made in Maine by the Portland Mattress Company and are super nice and comfy!
PLEASE NOTE: Rates may vary based upon number of day and evening guests and residences selected. We encourage you to contact us for specific quotes based upon your custom accommodation.

Beautiful property with stunning surroundings and wildlife. Well appointed. We plan on booking again.. Great walks to Ocean Point and King Phillips Trail. The owners are very professional, accommodating and communicative. Loved it!
Super peaceful retreat on a quiet cove. Nicely redone properties with multiple sleeping buildings and decorations. We spent the majority of the nights on the deck and dock eating oysters and having beers. Rented kayaks and loved the cove. Mark was super helpful with recommendations and very responsive. Don’t debate, just go.
We had a great time at the LRBC! The site was clean and had everything we needed to have a great and relaxing time. The site was still undergoing some renovation, but nothing that kept us from enjoying the stay. Would definitely consider going back!
The Little River Boat Club (LRBC) property exceeded all of our expectations. With wife, 2 children, and 2 teenage friends in tow, we found the facilities practical, comfortable, and enchanting. The views alone worth the price of the rental. Situated at the end of a private road, the property was generally well maintained having any thing you might need for a vacation away from home. Access to the water allowed for many hours of kayaking, SUP, and swimming. The area of East Boothbay is peaceful and quiet but not lacking for things to do. The Ocean Point beach and rock outcroppings were favorites for the teens. Biking around the area was a bit challenging but car drivers seemed considerate. Early morning hikes in the nearby Linekin-Burley Preserve started the day off right. Busier Boothbay Harbor a 10-15 car ride from the property. Pre-trip communication with the owner, Mark, was extremely easy. He provided timely and accurate information to make settling in a breeze. Overall, would return in a heartbeat. Imagine it is a beautiful setting in the fall given all of the trees in the area.
This property is amazing- gorgeous home that is beautifully furnished - right on the water but it is private and quiet. We loved every minute of our stay! Bonus: studio apartment on the property and lots of indoor and outdoor games. Will definitely be back!
My three adult children, one younger child, and myself absolutely loved our stay here! So beautiful and peaceful, but close enough to a lot of activities. It was hard to leave!
Our family stayed in the Boathouse and Studio in July and had a fantastic time. The wall of glass is spectacular and You are right on the water. Very well appointed and designed by the owner, we felt right at home. We enjoyed meeting the locals who have their boats at the Marina and upon Mark’s recommendation, rented sea kayaks and paddle boards delivered to the house. This location is fantastic because of the inlet, we had calm water to play around in, and venture out into the more open water when we wanted. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to follow along and see the new main house when it’s done!
Two water front houses are great. Glad our 4th couple didn't make it as the big house on the hill was musty smelling and very sparsely furnished. The houses on the water are really fun and the best place to stay. Would come again and rent the water front houses.
Everybody concerned was so helpful. Lots to do in the area. Lovely setting.
We had a full family of 16 and the property handled us very well. Little River is a special spot. Close to the ocean but protected. Lobster boats coming and going. Could not be more Maine Coast. Dock is brand new and much better than shown in the picture. Great for kayaks, paddle boards and swimming. We will be back.
