The property was great for our girls weekend! We loved coming back to the property after a day out exploring Franklin. The space is perfect for a family or small group and can comfortably accommodate 5 people. The yard and property begged to be enjoyed. Staying here made our visit more enjoyable and we loved getting to meet Mark and Damon!

This guest house was pure PERFECTION! It had all the necessary kitchen items & bathroom items. They were very clear in all instructions and requests, but flexible enough to accommodate the guests' wants (within reason). We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The pictures show exactly what the house looks like. Very charming. Plenty of room for me and my two sisters. Also had all the amenities we needed.

The house was clean and located in a quiet neighborhood.Our hosts supplied everything we needed. We also enjoyed the banana bread and coffee that was provided!

We so enjoyed staying at this property. Very spacious, beautifully decorated with lots of historic charm, big yard for pups! Within walking distance of downtown Franklin, as well as a nice park. Very nice and safe neighborhood, no problem walking day or night. So much to do and explore in the area. Mark and Damon (owners) are the nicest couple, they have a beautiful property and just fun to chat with. Forgot to thank them for the delicious banana bread.., thank you M&D. We hope to visit again:)

We really enjoyed our stay at General's Retreat. The accommodations were clean and welcoming. I really appreciated the motion sensitive lights all around the house when I took the dog out at night.

This place is absolutely adorable. My family truly enjoyed the comfort and location. The owners are extremely responsive. It felt like home.

This space was big enough to provide space for work meetings, was within walking distance of the downtown area and had so much space for our dog to run around and explore. They even provided dog bowls for him!

The vacation cottage was very comfortable and we felt very safe.The kitchen was well-furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed watching TV on the U Tube Channel. Would highly recommend this vacation cottage.

Mark and Damon were wonderful host. They made you feel like you were part of their family. The location was easy walking distance to downtown Franklin. The neighborhood was very safe and friendly. The screened in patio was a favorite place for morning coffee and late evening reading. Their place was very pet friendly and our King Charles cavalier enjoyed the open space. Charming guest house lovingly decorated with collected antiques and art. Fully equipped kitchen and bath. WiFi accessibility great location. Perfect neighborhood for dog walking day and night. No issues of any kind during our four day stay.

We felt right ant home and the bed was very comfortable.

We had such a great time visiting Franklin/Nashville. The home was beautiful! We enjoyed having breakfast every morning, gathering in the living room watching TV and sitting in the sunroom. Highly recommend and we would love to come back. Also, location is perfect for visiting beautiful downtown Franklin! Thanks for a great time and for being such wonderful hosts!

Mark was very welcoming. Outstanding property and rental close to everything and within walking distance to downtown. We chose not to walk because of ample (free) parking in the downtown, including at two parking garages. I don’t understand why anyone would give this rental less 5 stars or a 10 rating. Bed was comfortable; water pressure was great; rental was very clean; and it was in a peaceful neighborhood. It rained one evening so my wife and I appreciated the screened in porch as we enjoyed listening to the rain. Plus, the rental has a spare bedroom for those who may need that along with a day bed in the laundry room. Parking was also right outside the front door, which was beneficial. Hope to return!

We stayed in Franklin for a horse show at Brownland Farm. My husband, myself and two teenagers (ages 15 and 17). The house was excellent. Beautiful furniture (my kids are old enough to respect the antiques). The neighborhood is gorgeous. The house was an excellent home base for us to enjoy Franklin and the horse show. Such nice hosts… left banana bread for us to enjoy upon arrival. Would recommend 10/10 stars! Hope to stay again next year.

Mr. Mark met us at the car and helped unload our luggage into the cottage. The cottage is so cute and we had more than plenty of room. The neighborhood was a gem. We loved how close we were to all the shops and how quiet it was. We hope to stay there again

The Generals Quarters was located behind a beautiful historic home in a lovely neighborhood. We had everything we needed, and a lot of room to move around. We especially loved the sunny dining area!

This guesthouse was the perfect place for my mother, sister and me as we celebrated our mom's birthday. We had plenty of room and the house is totally charming. We loved having breakfast in the sunroom and relaxing on the screen porch. We struggled with the TV our first night and Damon was right there to help us. I highly recommend this guesthouse. It will be perfect for you too!

Well we won the lottery with this place. Location, cleanliness, amenities, not to mention the host on site welcoming us with a loaf of banana bread. Trust me you will not be sorry!

We had a lovely stay! The owners were excellent to work with, very accommodating and kind. The home was clean, spacious. We loved the floor plan of the bedrooms being separated. It’s ideal for 2 couples. The king bed was very comfortable for us! It was too chilly to use the sun porch but I imagine it will be delightful next time! A couple of minor suggestions are the overhead lighting in the kitchen could be brighter. The light over the sink was the most helpful. And the living space seating could be updated. While the pieces look great for the period vibe, the comfort for an evening to relax could be better. Those are minor mentions though, we had a great time in Franklin & Nashville and would definitely return to General quarters!! Thanks Mark & Damon!!

Our stay at General's Retreat was comfortable and cozy. The fireplace was a plus and not far from the downtown area.

Lovely and roomy. Instructions were clear. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of towels and there were wash cloths in the bathroom. Easy parking.

This was a good weekend. The house had plenty of room. Lots of charm. Easily accessible and close to downtown.

Walk to downtown Franklin. Live like a local. Can’t be better

My teacher friends and I enjoyed our stay during the PumpkinFest in Franklin, TN. Lots of great restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed the screened in back porch during our stay.

We had a delightful trip to Franklin in large part because of the clean and convenient stay at this location. The owners are fabulous folks, very accommodating and nice. It is an easy walk down historic Main Street to downtown (less than a mile). The walk takes you past some of the most beautiful and historic homes in Franklin, so each trip was enjoyable. Highly recommend!
