Guests have access to the entire apartment, which includes two off-street tandem parking spaces and a private fenced yard for added privacy and relaxation during your stay.

The vacation rental is managed locally by Southern Charmed Hospitality Group, ensuring that assistance is readily available should any issues or concerns arise during your stay. Moreover, for added convenience, the property owner resides next door and is accessible if you require anything further. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities!

Imagine the convenience of having Folly Beach, entertainment, gourmet restaurants, award winning hospitals, the West Ashley Greenway, Avondale , and low-country history just a few minutes away from your front door. Wespanee Place is an established neighborhood . Residents here enjoy its mature trees, draping oaks, and fragrant flowers.

West Ashley is a large, mainly residential area known for the cluster of global fusion restaurants, laid-back eateries, and lively bars around the busy intersection of Magnolia Road and Savannah Highway in the Avondale neighborhood. A mix of major malls, plus boutiques and spas, is another draw. The West Ashley Greenway trail attracts walkers and mountain bikers.

It is best to have your own vehicle to take full advantage of the area as public transportation is not very convenient in the Charleston area

HOME INFORMATION

-Parking: Use the two tandem parking spots in front of the gate (one behind the other).

-Quiet Hours: 10 PM to 8 AM.

-Owner: The property owner lives next door in the main house.

- Beach Supplies: We have provided the following beach supplies for your convenience: two chairs, two towels, a beach blanket, and a smaller cooler.

-Trash Day: Wednesday mornings.

-Recycling Day: Every other Friday.

-Noise Restriction: No outside noise after 10 PM.

-Yard: The yard is private, completely fenced in, and includes solar lights and Adirondack chairs.

CANCELLATIONS

Guests will receive a 95% refund up to 30 days before check-in. After that, no reservations are given.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT

A $500 damage deposit will be pulled from the card used for booking prior to the departure date. This deposit will be fully refundable to the card within 5-10 business days after departure if there are no claims made for damages.

HOUSE MANUAL

The house manual with all of the details needed for your stay will be sent out at 9am THE MORNING OF YOUR ARRIVAL directly in the message thread of the account used for booking.

Please do not ask for it earlier, or ask for it to be sent elsewhere.

CHECKOUT INSTRUCTIONS

-Leave towels and dishcloths in the brown laundry basket, and sheets on the bed.

-Wash all dishes.

-Return and clean beach chairs and cooler, removing as much sand as possible.

-Check for personal belongings before leaving.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Your safety and comfort are our priority. In the unlikely event of a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER FOR CHARLESTON COUNTY during your stay, rest assured that both the Owner/Host and the Property Management Company WILL REFUND 100% OF YOUR PAYMENTS for the dates of evacuation. Once refunded, neither party will have further liability regarding your Reservation.

Please note that ONLY MANDATORY EVACUATIONS WILL QUALIFY FOR REFUNDS. No other travel disruptions due to weather, whether in South Carolina or other states, are eligible. For protection, consider travel insurance, especially in high-risk months like hurricane season. Airbnb`s insurance or other options are recommended.

INSECTS

As Charleston is situated in a warm, coastal climate it is possible to see insects inside or outside of the home at times. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who reside in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects. FINDING AN INSECT IS NOT CAUSE FOR A REFUND.

    Very nice, clean, cute decor. Keurig coffee maker, microwave, fridge and freezer very convenient. Location was perfect, very private in a nice neighborhood but also very close to a main road with multiple restaurants, stores, gas stations. Downtown Charleston about 5 miles away. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again if in Charleston area.

    We enjoyed this cozy updated and clean apartment. Communication with owner is great because they live next door. Our trip was in April and it did begin to get too warm. There is a split ac unit but it is in a location that doesn’t reach the bedroom well. I would absolutely stay again but not later in the year than this time. We enjoyed our trip-they thought of everything for comfort. You can tell they love to make this a true vacation getaway.

    This place was a great place to stay! We really appreciated the little touches of extra phone chargers, beach towels and stuff like that. We do wish the water would have been warmer or stayed warmer for longer but other than that we absolutely loved this place and would definitely stay again!

    We had a great time. The accomodations were perfect for a couple. And the snacks and coffe available were really appreciated and a nice touch. Some instructions on how to work the various lighting would have been helpful but we fisured it out. I would stay again..here

    This spot suited our itinerary in Charleston very well. It was close enough to the airport to make an early morning flight more bearable but the drive to historic Charleston was easy and short. About 15 min from airport, 15 min from downtown and 15 min from The Magnolia plantation. The small touches in the house made it especially homey and welcoming. We loved our stay!

    Coastal Retreat is a comfortable accommodation in a residential neighborhood, away from the traffic of downtown but with easy access to all points of interest. King St business district was only a 10 minute drive, Isle of Palms and Folly Beach were reached within 25 minutes. Apartment was clean and quiet.

    It had everything!! Even chairs and small soft cooler for the beach! They had cold cocktails waiting in the fridge. Shower had shampoo, body wash and conditioner! It was perfect especially for busy people like me that forgot at least 2 things ever trip lol

    Thank you for the nice stay. This VRBO is off the beaten path, and great proximity to various parts of the Charleston area. Clearly, the owners take great pride in the property. The bed and bedding were the best ever for a rental. The space provided the exact description. I even loved the special labels on the hair products and soaps. The owners go above and beyond to offer the best accommodations. Highly recommend!
