Lake Superior Beach Front Downtown Grand Marais

Spectacular location, looking out on Superior's rocky shoreline. I loved seeing and hearing the waves crashing or lapping the shore. Close to Artists Point and so many restaurants, shops & galleries.

This clean, upstairs property facing Lake Superior with it's private beach and little deck with beautiful sunrise views was great! The location was perfect for walking anywhere in town and was a close drive to trails. The bed was comfortable and there was a refrigerator and microwave but no TV. We'd stay here again

Was a beautiful. Quiet, private place.

This cozy suite has a fantastic view east over lake Superior. You're right on the beach. It's a great spot for walking to many shops, galleries, and restaurants in town. Grand Marais is a quiet town at night. So all I heard at night was the waves of Superior. It's on the second floor, so you need to climb a flight of stairs. It has NO KITCHEN. So it's like a large hotel suite.

Amazing 1 bedroom that is right in the heart of Grand Marias with amazing views of the water. The apartment was cozy, comfortable and perfect for our weekend getaway. The directions to get to the apartment wear clear and communication with the host was great. Be aware, it's an old building and sound from the apartment below sometimes drifted up :) Love this place so much...we'll be back!

It was the nicest motel and Best Buy for my money. Room was clean, in good repair, spacious, well arranged with everything we needed. Located right on the shore of the lake.

This property is quiet, comfortable, and has a stunning view of the lake with amenities in easy walking distance. A great place to stay on Lake Superior for a reasonable price.

Everything was in good order and the location was excellent. We found the mattress to be too hard but that’s personal preference.

Incredible little suite in the heart of Grand Marais! We could walk to anything we wanted to do!

There were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

We stayed at this property several years ago and it was fine. This stays we noticed that the property is getting dated as follows:* the linens are old - bed sheets, pillows, towels* two bath towels are not enough if staying more than one night* couch is dirty* windows on the lake side are very hard to open and close and difficult to lock* over priced for the dated look and feel* We still like the view

This is the perfect home base for enjoying Grand Marais and the beauty of the North Shore! The property was clean and the host was attentive. Our time was peaceful and private.

Perfect location with a great view.

Great location on the lake and in town for easy walks to shop and eat. Recommendations for the host would be to get a fire pit for the lake, a less firm mattress and clean or replace the sofa (the fabric was a bit discolored due to use). With that all said, we’d stay here again.

Nice, clean place. Its right in the middle of all the action of Grand Marais, but once you get inside or on the cute deck, it instantly feels private and quiet.

The VRBO was clean, plenty of room for two and right on the water. Beautiful view!The weather was hot and humid. As a second story unit it was extremely warm, with one box fan available, making it difficult for sleeping.

The property reminded me of staying in an up north cabin. The best part was being right on the beach with that beautiful Lake Superior view.

Perfect location - This VRBO has its own private beach access with direct views of Lake Superior, as well as very close walks to look at the harbor and lighthouse. You also have local restaurants, cafes, gift/clothing shops, and even a brewery in walking distance. Not mention World’s Best Donut is basically your next door neighbor. If you have or haven’t been to Grand Marais, this is a great stay.

This little accommodation fit us well. Food is near by (World's Best Donuts on the block as well as restaurants and coffee shops). So no need to cook. It was cool weather while we were there, so we turned on heat and were toasty warm. Shower was great! Beautiful view and owner was very responsive.

Location, location, location. It was a perfect location. Quiet and close to all the cool places. Also the best view of the Great Lake Superior! The bed was perfect and the shower was excellent. Loved it.

Clean and comfortable spot to enjoy the sights and sounds of the big lake, and the location is wonderfully walkable. Have stayed in both units in this building and it is a favorite spot when coming to Grand Marais for a relaxing getaway. Depending on the season, you can enjoy the sunrise from bed!

This was just right for our 10th year anniversary! We loved being right in town, being right on the beach, and seeing the lake as the sun is rising. Couldn’t have asked for more and had the essentials we needed for a wonderful stay!

The property was as good as advertised. If you enjoy the Northshore you'll love this place.

We were located on the beach and within walking distance of everything in town we wanted to go to. The view and room were beautiful and had class and coziness. There was no tv, which I was fine with me but my husband was not super happy about it. This could be a plus if you are just trying to unplug. We had a fire on the beach in the fire pit, and looked at the stars . I will definitely be back. We love Grand Marais.

Room was clean and comfortable. It was surprisingly spacious and while it can be a busy foot-trafficked area on the weekends, the spot was like a hidden cove of solitude. You can't beat the view - beach, waves, pine trees in the distance. I learned to close my windows on weekend evenings as people make fires on the beach and the smoke will blow right into the room. But the breeze off the lake in the early morning was so refreshing. Walls are thin so pray that there is not a loud party or heavy snorer underneath you. I would bring earplugs for sleeping just in case.
