In the evening you will be able to watch the colors change to the sound of the Thrush singing good night. At night you will be blown away by the expanse of twinkling stars and thoughts of the infinite universe.

This property is located on a farm with turkeys, chickens, lamb and pet deer! Lots of space for two people!

Wonderful accommodation close the Able Tasman, beaches, caves, Farewell Spit, lots of interesting activities. The farm house is comfortable and well equipped. Kitchen is well oufitted, even shap knives! Beautiful deck for al fresco dining. Comfortable beds. Rob and Ivor are fabulous hosts willing to share a wealth of information about the area. The farm animals are fun to observe. An overall great stay.

The property was lovely and we had a nice stay but the description of the property is not accurate. It is no longer a working deer farm (much to the disappoint of our kids) and you can’t walk around the property and up through the forest (much to the disappointment of my kids). All in all would recommend still.

Ivor and Rob were friendly hosts and easy to communicate with. The house was as expected and in a beautiful setting in the Takaka valley. The amenities were good. It may be good if the hosts invest in some new cushions for the couch for extra comfort as they were a bit worn, and some sharper knives would be useful in the kitchen. Thanks for having us!

A very well equipped, spacious farm cottage. The owners were very friendly. We enjoyed the farm animals: Bob the dog, sheep, hens. Nice environment for a family.

Had fantastic time. The hosts, Ivor & Rob were really helpful and made our stay a total treat. So many things to do in the area and then relax with a beer with the deer in the afternoon. Highly recommend staying here :)

We had an amazing time at the farm and the kids really enjoyed checking all the animals. The house is clean and very functional in rural Golden Bay.
