Stayed Jun 24, 2025Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation at Seaside Farmhouse Retreat was a pleasant experience, but it could have been far nicer.We arrived on a 98° day to find the house and cottage shut up tighter than a drum - no windows cracked or AC units turned on. (And there were not enough AC units to cool a house that size down to begin with). The ones that were there, had such dirty filters, it looked as though they had never been serviced!The property managers were easy to reach, and were sympathetic enough. The layout of the bedrooms in the farmhouse section were funky, with people having to walk through bedrooms to reach the bathrooms. The cottage was very old. 'Nough said.Thankfully our large group of 18 was able to eat outdoors on the deck area, but if the weather had been different, eating inside would have been problematic due to the fact that tables were insufficient to seat that many folks. The kitchen was pretty well stocked and other areas of the main famhouse were comfortable enough.The loft was newer and better appointed than the house or cottage. Only one towel per person (if that) was provided. The location is very nice. There has a side yard for games, and two outdoor grills.All in all we made the best of it, but doubt we will return.
