Our place is a bright and airy 1893 farmhouse in the hamlet of Livingston, a scenic farm village in southern Columbia County, two hours and fifteen minutes north of New York City, and 15 minutes from Hudson, Germantown, Red Hook, and Catskill. The house sits on a shaded 2-acre parcel of open land that is dominated by an enormous 250-year-old maple tree. The exterior is freshly painted and landscaped.

Stayed Aug 1, 2024This is a superb home with lovely decor, singular screened- in porch and library, and a well-stocked kitchen, if you like to cook. It's a central location for visiting all of Columbia County, its many historic sites, small towns, and incredible farm stands. The grocery store is only 5 minutes away, too, along with the County's best pies (a tip from the owners who were very thoughtful in every way). A perfect pastoral idyl for our family of five.
