Swim, Hike & Unwind: Frankfort Cottage w/ Fire Pit

Ideal location easy to walk to town and beach. The cottage was clean and charming. Everything you need for a weekend away. Excellent communication with the host. Backyard was private and well stocked with firewood for Solo stove. Highly recommend.

Nice, clean place. Walk to grocery store, shops and restaurants, short drive to hikes, Platte River canoeing, St Ambrose meadery. Host was very responsive, and proactive, texting to make sure all was good. Great visit!

We had a fantastic time at the cottage for a much needed weekend. The cottage is beautiful and we appreciated the hospitality and accommodating Mike was and the attention to detail his wife had. Very happy with our weekend!

Nice little cabin. Very clean and accommodating. Frankfort is a nice little town with great shops and restaurants. I highly recommend booking this cabin and will stay there again.

I rented this property for a friend who took proposal pictures for my fiancé and I. Her and her boyfriend loved the place and said they’d definitely stay there again. Owner was very nice and checked in on them. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Mike's property highly enough. For two people who want to focus on time outdoors while having a place-that-feels-like-home, this is absolutely perfect. The thing that really shines through in this property is the focus on the details. We have all been in VRBOs or BNBs that feel thrown together with a disappointing/ inconvenient lack of necessities for a truly comfortable stay. The hosts and owners have gone above and beyond in considering and providing necessities (and luxuries) that are the cherry-on-top for travelers. From a well-equipped kitchen that allowed us to easily cook from home, to an outdoor box with firewood, kindling, chair cushions, and a rag to wipe them down if they're wet; everything is well thought out and clearly focuses on a comfortable and welcoming stay. While the space is compact, my partner and I were able to fully unpack each of our carry-ons and one oversized piece of luggage. This speaks to the thoughtful design of the space. Truly, every inch has a purpose. Finally, the thought the hosts put into giving this property privacy/separation was outstanding. We had our own driveway, parking, and a fence that made it feel like we had our own front yard.I have already told Mike that we will be back; my only hesitation in writing such a positive review is hoping that it won't be booked next time we want to come!
