Stayed Oct 9, 2025This lake front home was absolutely perfect. My wife and I and another couple shared this 3 bedroom, 2 Bathroom home situated literally steps from the shore of Lake Memphremagog. The house was very clean and fully provisioned. It had plenty of space for two couples to share, and with a 3rd bedroom the house has plenty of room for a family with up to a few children. The views from the house are absolutely spectacular. You can see north across the lake into Canada in the distance. Sitting at the dining room table and eating breakfast while looking out at the lake was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The house is about a 5 minute drive from downtown Newport, VT, which is a charming town with a nice lakefront and a number of nice stores. There is also nearby grocery shopping (including a Walmart). We took a boat ride on the Northern Star Cruise Line, which runs a variety of boat cruises that go from Downtown Newport and up across the border into Canada and back. The scenery was spectacular. The house is also a fairly short distance from Derby Line, VT and the International Haskell Library and Opera House which straddles the International border between Derby Line, Vermont, and Stanstead Quebec. The house's location just a few miles south of the Canadian/ Quebec border also makes a day trip into southern Quebec easy or even a trip into southern Quebec just for dinner is quite easy to do. In all, this was a spectacular place to stay for a couple of days.

Stayed Oct 4, 2025The host had very fast responses and the check in process was very simple. Interior and exterior were very well kept and comfortable. Interior was very cozy with plenty of seating and the bedrooms are spacious. Waking up and enjoying the vast views out the large windows facing the lake was breathtaking and refreshing. Made a great way to start a new day.
