Stoneridge Cottage II - Quality Amenities with a Million Dollar Mountain View

This property was a 10 out of 10. The mountaintop view was amazing. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub. The inside of the house was so beautiful and nicely decorated and one of the cleanest we have stayed in. I appreciated the book with all the instructions on the tv remotes and the hot tub. It also listed places to eat in the area along with menus. It was such a relaxing place and we can’t wait to visit again!

Such a peaceful place to getaway! The view from the porch and yard is stunning. Everything was so clean and we were a short drive from local restaurants and hiking.

The cottage was perfection. The hosts bent over backwards to make sure I had the relaxing sunset hot tub soak that I had envisioned. An awe inspiring view to enjoy from many different seats. The kitchen is well appointed. Nearby waterfalls and trails are so enjoyable. ELEVATION is the best farm to table I have ever eaten at. Kevin and Courtney provided over the top service with joy. I will be back to enjoy this again!

Wonderful stay. There was a glitch with hot tub but owner was wonderful and worked it out and we were able to enjoy. Loved the location and such a cute cabin. We loved it! So peaceful and relaxing!

The cabin was clean and perfect for 2 people. Unfortunately, lightning struck the hot tub a couple of days before check in. The owners opened up the hot tub next door to use. I’d definitely stay here again. The sunsets are beautiful!

Such an adorable cottage. The bed is wonderfully comfy. There is everything you need there. We enjoyed the screened in porch a great deal and the hot tub. The weather was socked in all weekend so we didn't get to enjoy the view very much. The mornings were filled with songs of birds and the evenings we so quiet and peaceful. We will be back again.

This was the perfect weekend getaway with everything we needed on a beautiful property on the brow overlooking a valley. Were able to walk to town and enjoy the park next door.

This was our second time to come and stay at this cozy little mountain top retreat. Stunning views. Everything you need to stay in, or venture out. We love the Mentone and Fort Payne area. So many waterfalls and hiking trails. An outdoor lovers dream away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet close to all the necessities for a short or extended stay. Highly recommend.

This was one of the worst stays we have experienced. The cabin was absolutely disgusting. Within two hours of arriving, we sent pictures documenting the issues, and due to the conditions, we left the property after only two hours. There were bugs everywhere, and the exterior was extremely dirty.We have stayed at this property in the past, and it did not look anything like this before, which makes the condition even more disappointing. The cabin was clearly not properly cleaned or maintained.For anyone considering staying here, be aware that you may be staying in a filthy place and still be denied a refund. The television was very small, bugs were jumping on us, there was blood on the sofa, and there were broken light fixtures in the bedroom.This experience was completely unacceptable, and I would not recommend this property to anyone.

The host was very welcoming. The cottage is beautifully decorated, comfortable, well equipped and clean. The views are breathtaking and the train runs thru the bottom of valley head, which is so romantic. This is our second stay with the host we have never been disappointed. Look forward to going back. The town of Mentone is just so quaint, our favorite destination.

Wonderful Christmas time!

They thought of everything! All the little touches matter. The bed was comfortable, the cottage nicely decorated and, the kitchen was well appointed. The location is convenient for day trips around the region. We really enjoyed our stay. My only disappointment was that the sofa wasn't very comfortable. The magnificent view more than made up for it. We plan to stay there again.

Wonderful place to relax!! Most comfortable bed I've ever had away from home. Screened in porch was the best. So peaceful and relaxing. Loved the view and listening to nature. Only used hot tub once and it was nice. We stayed 3 nights. Never had an issue. Never needed to contact host however we were given several ways to contact them if necessary. This cottage was perfectly decorated and outfitted with everything we needed for a two-night stay. The large windows overlooking the valley allowed for an amazing view of the valley, which was gorgeous with the fall leaves. The location was two minutes to downtown Mentone which is lovely. The hosts had a great book with all of the nearby restaurant menus. The only thing I'd recommend would be a full sofa instead of a loveseat so we could comfortably enjoy sitting in front of the fire and watching TV. Definitely want to return!

No matter how many times we stay at Stoneridge II, each visit is as exciting and as pleasant as the very first. The cottage is perfect for a couple, the view is stunning and the sunsets new every evening. North Cool Street provides a perfect place to walk each day with shade and often a breeze. It is an easy walk to town and several restaurants are close by. We always leave looking forward to our next visit.

This cottage is the perfect “home away from home”. It’s so homey and you instantly feel comfortable when you walk in. The view is spectacular!! We forgot to write in their review books on their counter but I suggest you read them!! They’re great!! And use the hot tub no matter the temperature outside…you won’t regret it!! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This was our third stay at this lovely little cottage! Beautifully decorated, comfy bed and furniture, spotless, and so quiet. Add the breathtaking view and you have a PERFECT getaway!

The house is lovely and very comfortable. Of course the beauty of the view makes staying there an incredible blessing! It is perfect for two people and has a great place to walk plus easy access to local attractions. We will definitely be coming back!

Check in and checkout were so simple and seamless. Stainless steel pans were nice and so was the coffee pot. Amazing views from the cottage and the hot tub; it was so nice to watch the sunset with a fire at the fire pit. Host was very easy to contact and responded very fast. You have your own view but if you wanted to walk, brow park is a short walk away if you wanted to get out and walk a little. Gorgeous place.

We came, with our fur baby, to celebrate our anniversary and explore the area. The cabin was so wonderfully perfect, that we struggled to leave to go anywhere! The view, the quiet, the escape, all of it was truly magical and we would recommend this cabin to every couple out there wishing to unplug and reconnect.

This was our 2nd visit to spend a relaxing few days before a busy conference. The cottage was very comfortable but we spent most of our time sitting in the screened porch, gazing out over the vista. We loved it!

This was the second time we have stayed at Stoneridge and it was as nice as the first time. We only stayed 3 nights but it was so nice to get away to Mentone. The cottage is very pretty and peaceful. My wife and our small dog especially like the screened porch and walking on Cool Street.

Each time we stay we are refreshed by the accommodations and the area, and we are eager to return. The owners are first-rate in their preparation and attention to detail.

We love this cottage on the Brow. It’s the perfect spot for a couple’s getaway. The views are spectacular and the cottage is furnished beautifully. Communication with the owners is always positive!

The check in process was extremely easy, simply arrive after the check-in time and walk inside. The cottage was clean and ask pictured. There was a book with all of the details of the cabin and local restaurants with menus. The view at sunset is AMAZING. Our only two complaints would be the couch and the bed. The mattress desperately needs updating. There was essentially a whole in the middle of the mattress. On check-out, the book said to put trash in the trash bin outside, which we could not find. I simply called the number listed in the book and was provided instructions on where to leave the trash. Overall, very pleased with this cabin!

We loved every single thing about our stay in the cottage. The property is beautiful. The cottage was clean and cozy. We could not have asked for a better stay. In fact, we were planning our return before we left!

The cottage was very clean and decorated in traditional cottage style. The view was magnificent! We only had a slight issue with the WiFi, but we weren’t concerned enough to contact the hosts. They responded promptly to our questions. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for a 3 day weekend. View was spectacular. Right on top of the mountain. Location was perfect to downtown Mentone shops and restaurants. Close to Desoto State park and Little River Canyon. Both of which we spent time hiking. Even drove to nearby Fort Payne for the day.

The only thing I’d change is a more comfortable sofa to snuggle up and watch TV on when it’s rainy or cold and staying in is more attractive. We’ll be back!

We have stayed at this cottage twice—multiple years apart—and it has been beautiful and comfortable and immaculate each time. I expect my husband and I will never stay elsewhere in Mentone, as this sweet spot is ideal!! Right on the brow, with amazing sunsets!

This was our second time to stay at this well-decorated, darling cottage. The location and charm of this property are exactly what you're looking for in Mentone. Everything is perfectly proportioned for a couple on a weekend getaway, plus you can walk to restaurants, drive just 15 minutes to hiking and waterfalls, and enjoy spectacular sunsets from the backyard! One note: The (full-size?) bed seems rather small and soft, which may be a problem for some guests. Overall, this place is adorable!

This was the perfect getaway for my wife and I! Everything was just as pictured. We went hiking at Little River Canyon, and came back to enjoy the grill and hot tub! It was a gloomy weekend, so we missed the sunset, but hope to return soon! Our only regret is not staying longer!
