L’Amboget and La Mallada rural houses are built inside an old village house which was first used as a warehouse for agricultural products, later in the 1920s, as a theatre centre for young people and after the Spanish Civil War up to the 1970s it was used as the only public school in the village. In 2004 it was restored and is used for rural accommodationl.

Stayed Jan 4, 2020Our family of 4 from Arizona, USA recently stayed at L'Amborget and enjoyed our stay immensely. The house is clean and cozy and decorated with old wold charm. Our host and hostess Julio and Rosa Mari could not have been more gracious. They met us at the house and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The village of San Jorge is quite small, but there are several restaurants and there are many nearby points of interest - including Peniscola which is a short 30 minute drive away. Rosa Mari and Julio have put together a book of local attractions as an additional service to their guests. A++!
