Beautiful, quaint, quiet property with everything you could ask for.

The property was a beautiful cottage located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Absolutely beautiful setting with a manicured lawn, huge garden and free range chickens to watch play in the field. The cottage is the epitome of well used space. Cozy and comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. The hostess was lovely and made everything perfect including the homemade meals she offers brought to your table. It was a perfect weekend getaway property.

I went for a solo retreat and found the atmosphere in and outside the cabin to be of comfort and peace. Beautiful interior design and well thought out. I had everything I needed and also took advantage of the homemade breakfast! I absolutely loved my stay and would definitely recommend.

This cottage is so cozy and comfortable. The thought and care put into this home away from home are evident. Tucked away on a magical mountainside property, it really offers the perfect escape from your everyday life. We loved exploring the trails, watching the chickens, and stargazing. We have saved Renee's cottage for future vacations and hope to come back!

Absolutely perfect mountain cabin that was exactly what we were looking for!

The cabin was exactly as advertised, both by Rene and by the reviews. The atmosphere was rustic, yet clean, comfortable and inspiring joy. I could imagine the fun Rene had and decorating. The large deck as an outside room overlooking the gardens and chickens,was a bonus for sunrise tai chi. While my arthritis and traveling body didn’t allow me to take full advantage of the hiking, The sound of the creek lured me as far as the bridge and was worthy of a sketch. I had different breakfasts both days which were packed with goodness. Would highly recommend. I was seeking respite for my body and soul and I got exactly that, so I can go home refreshed.

My brothers and I booked this for my parents for a quick anniversary getaway and from my perspective, everything went smoothly in booking and communication. From my parents perspective, they absolutely loved it. They said it was very comfortable, peaceful and relaxing and loved loved the breakfast. Couldn’t be more pleased

The property was beautiful and the cabin very comfortable. Renee's cooking was delicious and so worth it. We woke up with the chickens and were able to take a wonderful walk along the creek in the back of the property before it rained. Could not recommend thia property more.

Such a cute little house for a 3 day stay right after mine and my husband's wedding!

My wife and I spent the weekend here and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The cottage has a very comfortable feel with rustic wood finishes throughout which contributes to its coziness. The place is equipped with anything you would need for your stay. For us, it is always a plus to get to meet a welcoming host and Renee didn’t disappoint. She is a wonderful, kind, down-to-earth person who takes great pride in her place and she makes sure you have everything you need without being intrusive. Her optional breakfast was delicious. If you are a breakfast person, you don’t want to miss it. Getting to the site is a breeze and it only took about 25 minutes to make it to Boone. There is television and good Wi-Fi plus we had three bars of Verizon signal.

We were looking for a place to get away for our anniversary and the cottage was perfect!!! We loved everything about it, especially the amazing breakfast!! Renee was the best host ever and we are already planning a return trip for next anniversary!

It was a true blessing to find Renee and her lovely Enchanted Cottage. The accommodations were excellent and her attention to the smallest details made our stay just perfect. Breakfast was delicious!! We could not have found a better place to relax and unwind. We were near enough to Boone and West Jefferson to visit those areas without being near heavy traffic. It was just right!! Thank you, Renee and “crew” for everything.

Wonderful views and lovely area. I loved the recliner chair and even fell asleep on it while my wife lounged on the couch! A great rustic feeling with cozy furniture.

Beautiful surroundings and wonderful host. The furniture desperately needs to be replaced though. There are two places to sit: a couch and a recliner. The recliner is so worn that we sat on springs, especially on the left side. The lack of cushioning causes you to tumble to the middle of the couch. Even the reclining chair was rough. The microwave turntable doesn’t turn, otherwise the kitchen was well furnished and nice.

Place was amazing! Will certainly share with friends as well as look forward to next stay. Please was absolutely perfect will all amenities! Quiet and beautiful spot!
