Stayed Jan 11, 2025The property was in a quiet area a little bit away from the busier streets - which are pretty quiet, too, on Caye Caulker. It was nice to have the four cottages together, we met and socialized with some great people! We used property bicycles to get around, and could reach everywhere on this pretty, laid-back island caye.

Stayed Jan 7, 2026We stayed for two weeks in the Turtle cottage. A great base location for visiting Caye Caulker. Having read the reviews about the street noise we specifically booked The Purple Pearl cottage on the quiet side of the complex, only to find out just before boarding our plane that they had double booked and we got bumped to the Turtle Cottage on the noisy street side. Even with earplugs I heard the golf carts all night long. The place is clean and out of the way which was great for us and we didn't mind the walk into town. The pool was nice to have but most of the wooden loungers were broken and the cushions had seen better days. Bring Lots of bug spray, for whatever reason the bugs were the worst on the pool deck than anywhere else on the island. My guess is from the lounge cushions. The cottage is minimally stocked, one pot, one lid, 2 wine glasses, etc but we were able to trade with the neighbours in the other cottages for what we needed. We met a bunch of nice people and everyone was respectful of the close proximity. We walked most days and on hot days found restaurants closer to this end of town for dinner. Although some of these comments are negative, they are honest and the overall stay was good.

Stayed Dec 17, 2025I rented all 4 cottages for a family vacation. The property was clean and well maintained. When a question arose, the property manager was quick to respond. The pool was perfect for our needs and provided a private place to hang out since we had all 4 cottages. The walk to restaurants was a little long, but taxis are always available and walking allowed us to become familiar with the culture of the island. We truly enjoyed our experience and would return.

Stayed Feb 19, 2025As mentioned by others, the property is fairly far from the center of the action, but at times this could be a good thing. A golf cart or bikes are suggested. Due to the proximity of the 4 units, privacy was not at a premium. The property was clean, had lots of storage space and towels and the manager was extremely responsive to any requests. Would stay here again.

Stayed Jan 25, 2025Enjoyed our stay. Used the bikes most days since it was much faster. Lots of muddy pot holes! Bugs were bad on deck - probably caused by lots of rain. Pool was super nice.

Stayed Dec 8, 2024Cottage was a little off the beaten path but still was not a bad walk to the hub of activity Michael was easily available to answer any questions or solve problems Only thing I would have liked better was better window covering in the bedroom. Other than that great stay

Stayed Mar 5, 2024Truly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Had everything we could possibly need in terms of space, amenities, and supplies. While the cottages are in a pretty close space there is still plenty of room around the pool and everyone was respectful. It is just a short walk to the more busy areas of Caye Caulker, and it was nice to have a quiet and well lit walk back to the cottage at the end of the night.

Stayed Feb 27, 2024Thought the layout of the units location and cleanliness was great. Michael was responsive and we enjoyed our stay. The following are ways I felt my unit needed improvements. If you have a full kitchen, provided the things you expect. Large bowls for mixing or storing would be a great start. Toaster didn’t work, reported, but nothing happened (it’s Belize and that can take time). The only thing in the cupboard was 2 sets of salt and pepper. I left approximately 145 coffee liners after giving 50 to a neighbor. No oil, no other seasoning. Other VRBO’s I’ve had have an assortment of things others have left. Pass it along kind of thing. Maybe I’m wrong, but I can’t imagine that people don’t leave items to help the next guest. More written info of rules and explanations. Example what should I do with the garbage, how do I rent a bike. Who is a good contact for a taxi. Appreciated Michael connection on the last one. One thing I found was that the palms close to the cabin I was in, beat against the walls and windows when the wind blew and it does wakes you up at 2 AM. I say all this as opportunities and would stay again.
