Private, Peaceful Cottage on the Chestatee River and Dahlonega Plateau

Everything we needed was in the cabin. We enjoyed the outdoor firepits almost every night. The property is beautiful and our dog enjoyed the freedom of running around the expansive yard.

We had the best time staying at this cute cabin in the woods! The location is perfect and very easy to get to several towns, wineries and the distillery. The cabin is very clean and so comfortable. The kitchen is so well stocked I was able to cook 2 family dinners with all the fixing and was not missing a cooking diah or serving dish. One of the best stocked kitchens I have been in! The grounds are absolutely amazing! The river/creek is so relaxing and the fire pit down by it was perfect to enjoy our cold evenings around. The wood burning fireplace got used and was a fantastic thing for our trip. We had zero issues with the gravel driveway, just take it slow and you will be fine. The host was absolutely amazing, checked in on us and even delivered firewood for a small fair fee. Pet friendly was huge bonus and our furry friend had a great time running in the yard and taking walks on the grounds with us. She also enjoyed all the fire options. We will absolutely be back! This is one of the best VBROs I have stayed at. Thanks again for sharing your amazing cabin with us! Very convient location and nice river front property We enjoyed the fire pits as we brought an extra tv to watch the football games by a warm fire. Did a couple cold plunges in the Chestatee river which was refreshing.

This little cottage is a true gem! Perfectly placed just a few minutes from anything you need. Wonderful history in this place and the decor makes you feel like a visit to grandma’s house. The big yard is meticulously maintained, we plan to come back when everything is in bloom. If you’re a fisherman (like myself), you can step right into your own private stretch of great fishing. The dogs loved the yard and were comfortable sniffing up the property. This is one of those spots you will remember. Don’t hesitate! The hosts are the best; very compassionate and understanding. We left a piece of our heart in this place and we will be back.

Quick communication responses, very friendly, the house had everything you could possibly need, and the location was perfect to see a variety of towns.

We loved the cozy cottage and the privacy provided with the propery nestled well off the main road. Very pretty with trees and river surrounding you. Large space for dogs to enjoy outdoors. We spotted a deer crossing the river.

Host was very informative. Rental was clean and comfortable.

Very clean and neat! Easy arrival instructions. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were super comfortable (soft sheets!) The setting by the river was so pretty. Great location for hiking and going to towns and wineries. Would stay here again!

Despite the small size of the cabin, we were all very comfortable and had an amazing, relaxing time. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. We made use of the fire pit and the tubes, too. Just a great summer getaway.

We were on the river .. so you could fish you could pay for gold or you could just sit there and listen to the water. It was beautiful. The house was three bedroom and one bath and we have room for a family. It was a great time.

The cottage is an older home on a nice creek. Everything was clean and well stocked with all cooking abd serving pieces. Having just one bathroom was not a problem for my son and i. The cottage is surrounded by woods which makes it private, but the house is closer to the road than it seems. Be careful coming down the driveway and drive slow, but quite manageable. Having a washer and dryer is a plus. It was nice to have river tubes available as well.We enjoyed our 4 day trip. Thanks again for sharing your cottage.

The location and landscaping were great. The beautiful sounds of nature. We discovered Ol’ Clyde’s restaurant in Cleveland. A must try is the Avocado Fries and The Brisket.

We were very happy with the property, our dogs had plenty of space to run and play. We are saving this property to come back in the summer to be able to use the water.

Had a wonderful get away to Dahlonega. Hope to come back, when the weather is better. Host communication was excellent. Driveway could use a little smoothing. Would stay there again.

Close to downtown. Cabin as described, very private. Driveway down to house needs some work. It's just gravel, but a lot of fairly deep ruts, impossible to avoid.

The cottage was wonderful. It included all amenities needed. My sister, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the cozy fireplace. The only negative thing about the property was the driveway. We drove a small Subaru and I was worried about dragging the bottom of the vehicle due to the large holes in the road.

My husband and I needed a relaxing getaway and couldn't have picked a more perfect place. The cottage was cozy and provided everything we could need, and the property is beautiful and peaceful, yet close enough to shopping, restaurants, vineyards, and Dahlonega's historic square. Check in and check out went smoothly, and the owners were very responsive. We are hoping to return again soon!

Sleeping arrangements were great for our family! Everything was clean and tidy. Property was spectacular with the fall foliage!

This little cottage in the woods is absolutely precious. It’s right by a beautiful stream with a hiking path. The kitchen is a very nice size and very well equipped. And the bedrooms very very comfy. The location is very convenient to downtown Dahlonega, which is why we were there. We had a wonderful stay.

We liked the property, but that driveway coming onto the property and then trying to get back up in car was a little difficult.

My sister and I booked the cottage for a short weekend trip. The cottage was peaceful and picturesque due to the close proximity to the river and the privacy provided by the location. I would definitely book this location again.

Great property, centrally located, very peaceful!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the river cottage. We needed a break from the city and this property was wonderful! We really relaxed and had a great time fishing, tubing, roasting smores and hotdogs and watching our little dog have a blast running around. The cottage was very comfortable and I really appreciated how well stocked it was. I also appreciated the whole house filtered water. The hosts were very responsive. If you are considering this vacation spot don’t hesitate. Also, the river water was crystal clear and a perfect temperature in late September.

From Florida and we booked this home since our daughter was moving into UNG that week. It was perfect and not far from campus. We would like to keep booking when we go up for visits. Thank you for having us!

The cabin was super clean. The river in the backyard was wonderful! We enjoyed sitting by the river and just relaxing. Glad we came in a truck the driveway would have been hard in a car. The towels need updating. Would definitely stay here again

Lush natural surroundings, cared for property was the perfect setting for a family get together. The cottage is welcoming with comfortable beds and many towels. The river was a delight for my grandson and fishing enthusiast children. It is a real find.

It was a pretty spot to stay. But the driveway had a few rough pot holes in it.
