Cleanliness

The place was very nice, clean, cozy and welcomed my dogs. The only thing is I didn't realize the owners and neighbors would be so close. The information on the website made me think it was further away from other homes. Otherwise it's a great place to stay if you don't mind that.

Absolutely lovely place! Beautiful surroundings, quiet, and very comfortable. Love the mountain views. Also really appreciate the king bed. Comfortable and quality furniture as well. Nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of Glenwood springs but also only a short trip away from all that it has to offer.

The location and setting are great. Check in, towels, cleanliness, TV, couch are all good. The place is in need of repairs and some comfort ammenities... ie beds are very hard (good in some people's eyes), blinds broken side door, no cutting board, bathroom fan sounds like a broken down 70's car, no oil for cooking, an extra sautee pan needed, mug with broken off handle offered. If I owned a VRBO/bnb I would stay in my own properties occasionally so these little things arent missed or have a checklist for the service companyand replace as needed ... Nothing life altering with this property but I couldn't offer 5 stars because of it.

Perfect location. Private and comfortable.

We very much enjoyed our stay. We stayed here 17 years ago and were very pleased it has been well taken care of.Check-in was very easy. Though we didn’t cook other than breakfast, kitchen supplies were good quality.We enjoyed biking the Glen Canyon Rec trail, the Rio Grande trail to Aspen and the Hanging Lake hike.

The Bears Den was exactly as listed. The unit was clean, bright, and well stocked. We didn't do much off site because the patio was so nice. We finished off our books, watched the swallows swoop, and star gazed.All in all a comfortable, quiet abode

Only issues were not being able to start grill or use microwave.

The unit was much bigger than it seemed in the pictures and had everything we needed. It was far enough outside of town that it had the quite peaceful feel, but only took a few minutes to get anywhere in town.

The Bears Den was a perfect get away! If you're looking for a quiet and cozy stay in Glenwood, CO this is the place. The location is far enough away from town to still be convenient but also rural enough to be away from the hustle. The home is neat and clean has everything that you could need to be comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will return the next time we are in Glenwood.

Me and my girlfriend planned a weekend up in Glenwood, and cant recommend enough to stay here. The property and Mark were super accommodating.

One night, just what we needed

We enjoyed staying at the Bear's Den. It was spacious enough for our family's spring break trip to Glenwood Springs. We loved having a kitchen to use while in GS! Check in was easy and Mark did a great job communicating everything before arriving to the Bear's Den. The only issue was that this place didn't have Dish Network (as was listed online), so we weren't able to view basketball games for March Madness. This only affected us in the evenings as we were out and about during the day while vacationing up in GS.

My family and I have stayed here twice and hope to stay there again on our next visit to the area.

Clean property, good communication with host and overall, a nice tucked away space with easy access to town and the Sunlight ski area. Cozy house for my family to enjoy a little winter break fun.

It was a nice remote private guest house. The furniture was pretty comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, and there was plenty of room. I enjoyed my stay!

I have stayed at this property before in their Casa del Sol unit. I loved that unit, but I loved the Bear’s Den even more! It’s a beautiful remote location, but not far from town and the Hot Springs. It’s so peaceful and quiet. The unit is well equipped, And the heated tile floors are a very nice touch that had me spoiled by the time I left. I’ll definitely be staying here every time I come to Glenwood Springs. Highly recommended!

My hubby and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary. What a rare find! It’s a beautiful and cozy spot far enough from town that allowed privacy and relaxation, yet less than a 15 minute drive to all the shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again!

If you're looking for a clean, reasonable place to stay, this could be it. It's a short drive to town, but in a peaceful location. It has everything you need, and the owner is quick to respond to questions. We recommend.

Love staying at this location just outside the city of Glenwood Springs. We have stayed in years past as well and love the quiet and natural feeling of this accomodations.
