Stayed Jun 25, 2018Perfect- beautiful surroundings, lovely pool, well equipped gite, friendly hosts and gorgeous dogs. We would thoroughly recommend Andrew and Jo's place. Very little can beat the bliss of floating in the pool with a beer and that phenomenal view.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have just returned from having the most fabulous week in Polfages. On arrival we were met by Andrew & Jo our hosts who showed us around the property that was to be our home for our stay and home it truly was as we were treated so well There was a fresh welcome pack in our beautiful gite with everything from homemade jam to eggs from Mrs Peckett their hen The gite is reflective of the amount of hard work that they have put into it. The views are something else I felt totally relaxed watching the daily sunrise and wonderful sunset in the evenings over a few glasses of wine We planned on eating out locally however after experiencing our arrival meal on the first day we ate with Jo, Andrew and their lovely daughter for the rest of our stay as Andrew is a brilliant cook who served us a variety of food including local dishes We made firm friends with the family's 3 lovely dogs and I had so much of a soft spot for Rufus I could have taken him home with us Andrew provided us with lots of useful info on the history of the area with some great advise for days out etc We travelled within the hour to a fab beach in Narbonne and also went and spent the day in Carcasonne The local town of Mirapoix was steeped in history and so worth the visit We have now returned back home having made firm friends with this lovely family and can't wait to plan a return visit for next year I am reluctant to spread the word as we want to keep this hidden gem to ourselves Thanks again for our wonderful stay

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We've stayed with Andrew and Jo 3 times and their hospitality and attention to detail has always been beyond compare. They've created beautiful gites and the balcony on this end gite provides perfect views and privacy. We simply can't praise them enough!

Stayed Sep 9, 2016Pol Fages is in an ideal position with amazing views of the surrounding countryside, the sunrise and sunset is to die for. Jo and Andrew could not have been more helpful and the dogs were an added bonus for us. We love Rufus hehe. The Beclaire Gite was well appointed, especially the kitchen, lounge and bedrooms, although there is a little remedial work required (this is on going). The patio area was perfect for our needs, with an excellent BBQ and gave great views and wonderful sunrises. The pool area also needs some remedial work but again this is planned for the Autumn. If you want peace, tranquillity and beautiful surroundings, I recommend the Gites without doubt. Finally, a holiday is not just what YOU make it, it is what your hosts make it and Jo and Andrew went the extra mile to ensure we had a great time. Thanks to you both!!!!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Warm welcome, lovely gites and stunning views. You will certainly need a car as the gites are quite remote from all shops and facilities. Gites are spacious and generally well equipped, although a freezer or larger fridge would have been handy to reduce the travel for shopping. Some of the fittings in Calmont will need attention soon - stair rails a bit wobbly. Would benefit from some local area guide information to read - although Jo and Andrew easily on hand to ask. Mirepoix is a place worth visiting, especially the markets. Would also benefit from some activities such as table tennis etc. There is space on site for this. We drove to the coast on a couple of occassions which was a good 1. 5 hours away due to traffic - found some lovely beaches and great seafood. Make sure that you like dogs as they are frequent visitors to your gite but very friendly. We flew from Beziers but traffic very busy on way back, so be prepared for this in your planning.

Stayed Jul 16, 2016We have just returned from a wonderful 3 week holiday at Polfages, which was really a home from home with the addition of amazing scenery and weather. The Gite offered every comfort and it was just great to be able to get up on a morning to go for lovely walks, enjoy a swim and then breakfast on the terrace. We could not get enough of the stunning views and peaceful location- even 3 weeks was not enough and we will be hoping to return in the near future. Andrew and Jo made us truly welcome; they provide a fantastic holiday retreat where it really is possible to unwind and enjoy life at a relaxing pace. They were always happy to help whether it was suggesting ideas of places to visit, supplying delicious fresh eggs for supper and of course providing meals such as Andrew's home made pizzas and fresh garden salads in such beautiful surroundings. We would just like to thankyou Andrew and Jo, for all you did in enabling our group to enjoy such a wonderful holiday- you were so flexible and accommodating and we couldn't ask for anything more. Hopefully we will have opportunity to come out again and enjoy lots more experiences at your delightful home.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We wanted a typical French Gite, traditional yet fully equipped with all,the mod cons. We wanted to be slightly off the beaten track but within easy access of good restaurants and supermarket. We wanted to be able to fly relatively inexpensively and be within a short drive of our destination when we landed. The location needed to be within reach of the beautiful Pyrenees , the Meditteranean coast and with good access to the abundant historical sights that are prevalent in this region. To cap it off we wanted a swimming pool and good weather. Well, we got all that , including the sunshine but in addition we got two wonderful hosts . Both Andrew and Jo were so helpful and friendly . Their knowledge of the area and accompanying advice helped us to make the most of our stay. I haven't mentioned yet the scenery. Think of Tuscany mixed with the Nappa valley and a dash of Cotswolds , wonderful. We heartily recommend this property and fully intend to make a return visit Robin and Christine Holt.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have just spent a really relaxing and enjoyable week at Polfages. The gite was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The hosts Andrew and Jo were very friendly and able to suggest some of the best things to do during our stay, allowing us to get the most out of the holiday. We took advantage of having the 1st shop done for us, meaning that everything we needed as there when we arrived and we could just settle in. Over the week we had a number of meals cooked for us and it was great to be able to just come in after a busy day site seeing and enjoy a really good home cooked meal. Over all a relaxing and beautiful place to stay with stunning views and we could not have asked for more. We thoroughly recommended it.
