Stayed Sep 11, 2019We absolutely loved our stay in Polfages. The property is well set up with everything you may need during your stay; the rooms are bright and cosy, and the surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful. Andrew and Jo are fantastic hosts - they showed us around when we arrived, provided us with great recommendations on where to go and what to do and were overall very approachable and understanding (we are travelling with a 3-year-old and 6-year-old). Our kids loved interacting with all the animals - dogs, horses, goats, chickens and elusive cats. And the pool has the best view! It was our first time in Europe and we fell in love with France due to how wonderful our stay in Polfages was. Thank you Andrew and Jo!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We just love to go to Polfages , and indeed have returned there every year since Jo , Andrew, and Jasmine arrived and have opened it up for visitors . Part of the attraction of this wonderful holiday is that the hosts are so welcoming to all of us who go there . We have always received excellent service on every holiday that we have ever had there . That coupled with the superb accommodation , excellent facilities, beautiful views and friendly welcome make it a must to visit . The surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful. We love to go to the Castle in Carcassone and indeed make it an annual trip now . The market in Mirepoix is also a must to visit . Mirepoix with its little bars and shops is an absolute delight and well worth a visit. We just love it . The property itself is beautiful and every time I approach it on an annual visit I feel so happy to return there . The gites are always spotlessly clean and well maintained . The fact that I return year after year speaks volumes . I just love going there and catching up with the family and of course the dogs , cats, goats and all ......Always a warm welcome on every visit from all .... Without hesitation I would welcome Polfages to anyone . We will be back next year Jo Andrew and Jasmin ......

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The property is in a stunning, peaceful location with breathtaking views across the French country side. It is spacious, clean, well maintained with lovely comfortable furnishings. The customer service was excellent, a catering service is available if required, I can highly recommend the fresh homemade pizzas, they were delicious & very welcome on our first evening of arrival! The owners are very friendly have a great knowledge of the local area & restaurants. On recommendation we visited the spa town of Ax-Les-Thermes at the foot of the snow topped Pyrenees & the views were spectacular. We also visited the superb spa complex fed by the warm water that rises naturally in the town. The nearby town of Mirepoix has plenty of great places to eat and is well worth a visit especially on Market day. I would highly recommend this property, we had a wonderful holiday & hope to return in the future. Thank you.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The gites at Polfages are a great place to relax and unwind. This is our second year, choosing this time to stay in Mazamet (the largest). The views from the gite and pool are stunning and the properties are all equally well finished. Andrew and Jo do a great job of looking after you and have started doing great pizzas to order on those nights where the BBQ seems too much effort. The property is great if you have dogs as you can walk straight off the end of the garden and go for as long or short as you like through fields of corn and sunflowers. The location is nice a rural with silence in abundance yet Mirepoix is only 15mins away and Bram, Castelnaudry, Montbel (Lake) and Carcasonne not much further away. No doubt we will be back.

Stayed Jul 23, 2016We arrived at 12.30 p.m. after a long journey from Paris, but we were still greeted with a warm welcome by our host Andrew, the owner of Polfages. We had pre-ordered a meal and this was ready for us even at such a late hour. This was a gastronomic feast, consisting of baguetes, fruit, wine, juice and chocolate mouse. Our gite was immaculate and the decor attractive and to a very high standard. The view from the pool was over looking filelds of sunflowers with the pyreenees as a back drop. I felt like a celebrity sunning myself my the pool with a view to die for. Jo, Andrews wife was so kind and couldnt do enough to help us. She even managed to get a stain out of my white capri pants. And this lovely couple even offered to baby sit the childrenvso we could have a night to our self. During our time at Villatou we visited the beautiful beach at Narbonne le Page and several stunning historic citys, including Mirepouix, Carcasonne and Narbonne le Cite. I can highly reccomend Polfages to other families looking for a wonderful holiday. I would rate it higher than any other holiday we have had! But I would rather keep this slice of heaven to myself incase it is fully booked next year! We will be booking early to avoid disappointment!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed for 5 nights at from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt very welcome by the owners and very settled! Our 4 year old daughter got very much stuck in with the dogs, cats, chickens & goats and was always keen to get back to our gite while we were out exploring. The surrounding area is stunning and the views from around the property were fantastic. Great roads for exploring by bike or car and the nearby towns very much worth a visit. The owners were very kind to give us lots of good tips on places to visit too, so each day was an enjoyable adventure followed by a swim in the pool and a BBQ - sheer bliss! The house itself was lovely, clean and tidy and had all the amenities we needed plus a few nice little extras like cling film, tin foil and washing up liquid - may sound silly, but we always forget to pack these, so it was nice to have them provided so we didn't have to go shopping for them on arrival! On that note, the offer from the owners to pick up basic shopping for us before we arrived was great, as we had come on the overnight ferry to Santander and had a night stopover on the way from there, so we couldn't have brought our own provisions and we arrived when the shops were closed on a Sunday. It meant we could enjoy a lovely meal on our first night without any hassle. We would definitely recommend Polfages to friends and family and look forward to returning back ourselves next time we come to France!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was our second stay at Polfages Gites Complex and we were not disappointed. Jo and Andrew (the owners) made us very welcome. We stayed in the same gite as last year and it everywhere seemed fresh and inviting. There is a kitchen diner and a lounge area divided by the staircase to the bedrooms (all en suite). All the decor throughout fresh and modern with a farm house feel. Eggs from the chucks and a bottle of rose in the fridge on arrival were the little extras that were appreciated. Wonderfully situated with stunning views from the Gites and access to local roads and motorways. I celebrated a memorable birthday evening with wonderful food provided by the hosts. Not sure if that is a regular feature lol but the food was exceptional and greatly appreciated by myself and other guests. I can highly recommend Polfages and will hopefully go again soon

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The accommodation is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. The proprietors Jo and Andrew cannot do enough to help you to enjoy your stay with them. The location is so peaceful and has the most wonderful views on every side!! We ordered a celebration meal for one of our party - it was tremendous, everything was cooked and prepared to perfection. A lovely atmosphere and beautiful location.
