Beautifully presented this refurbished home has a balcony accessed off the twin and double bedrooms, please mind your head as the opening is low. A canopied terrace and conservatory are great features to take in the stunning sunny aspect. Accessed up 30 steps from the parking bay at the front, this home is perfectly set up for a seaside family holiday, however we suggest the access makes it unsuitable for those with mobility issues and care must be taken at all time using the steps. Our 3rd stay here and it’s just as good as the first time we stayed. Pointe South is a comfortable home with plenty of extra touches that truly make it a home from home. Lovely views over the sea, only a short walk into town with everything the island has to offer either a short drive or bus ride away.

We had a lovely week staying at pointe south, this home was spotless and decor was fabulous, pictures don’t do it justice! Amazing views in the garden and seating area outdoors Would highly recommend and we will most definitely be staying here again

Pointe South is a beautifully renovated and furnished house which lacks for nothing in equipment (saving a teapot!). We loved the original paintings around the house, especially the Freda Kahlo in our bedroom. The views from the patio and the first floor terrace are nice - handy binoculars are provided for ship-spotting and we spent a lot of time at this restful activity. The house is conveniently placed to access the town of Ventnor, though we 70 somethings didn't care to walk down the hill and then back up in the extreme heat that we endured during our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the pet lizards and gulls trying to eat our scattered crumbs. On the negative side the sun-trap garden is honestly pretty tatty. At the prices being charged one might have hoped for better. The house is on a fairly busy road and traffic noise does intrude, though nights are quiet. And the neighbour's dog kept yapping away pointlessly, much to our annoyance. Of course the holiday company doesn't mention these things! We had an issue on arrival - there was a pestilence of flies in the house from a dead bird stuck in the chimney. We called Island Homes on the Saturday morning and they called out an exterminator very promptly, who sorted it out. Impressive service. Overall this was an enjoyable stay with just a feeling that, at the price, it could have been better.

We had an excellent holiday at Pointe South. Everything about the property was as we had hoped, and we felt completely at home. The sea view was the main feature of our stay, and that, along with excellent weather, gave us a memorable holiday. The house is very well appointed with modern appliances and everything we needed to make our stay a comfortable one. We were able to park our car (Kia Sportage) in front of the garage with plenty of room. Anyone with an additional car would be able to park it on the road nearby. The location worked well for us. We were able to travel to visit many places on the island, but also enjoyed spending time at the house. We have no hesitation in recommending the property to others and hope to return ourselves at some stage in the future.

We managed to park two cars in the drive, ideal with young children. A 10 minute stroll into Ventnor and a short drive to all the island's sights and attractions. The property was ideal for us, two couples plus a baby.

Great location with sea views and easy access to the town centre. The house is finished to a very high standard and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Whilst there is only room to park one car off road, there was plenty of on street parking for a second car. The terrace is a real sun trap and on the only windy day we had, seemed to be the most sheltered place in Ventnor.

Our second visit to this lovely, well appointed property and unlikely to be our last. The house is very modern inside and has so many thoughtful touches it makes for the perfect holiday home. Beds and sofas are of good quality and comfortable, the lounge, garden and balcony all offer clear views out to sea and if the weather isn’t so kind there is a nice, airy conservatory to relax in. The house also benefits from a well appointed kitchen, utility room and offers a choice of bath or shower rooms, again all built to an excellent standard. The only downside to Pointe South is that the garden is quite steep, (Ventnor is very hilly) meaning the house can only be accessed via 30 concrete steps, so bear that in mind if planning to book.

We had a fantastic stay at Pointe South. The house is very well equipped with the most stunning views. The location is about 10 minutes walk into town or the seafront, although quite a climb back up. The beds were the most comfortable we’ve had in any stay. The only criticism I would make is that the agent did not advise us of the road closure and how to access the house. It did however mean that we had barely any passing traffic during our stay. Hope to return again.

Lovely modern property, well suited to a family of 5. All mod-cons, and a good location - walkable from the town centre & beach, but far enough to ensure you always get some decent exercise. A shame we couldn't use the garage to store our bikes, and the weather was pretty ropey, but there's not a lot anyone can do about that!

Lovely modern property. Beautifully clean. Exceptionally well equipped. Comfortable beds and settees. Garden slightly untidy compared to the immaculate interior of the house. Value 4 money lowish score due to school holiday prices! Not a criticism of the property. Would be nice to have some milk upon arrival. Supermarket order hadn’t arrived so couldn’t have a cup of tea after a long journey.
