Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great to be able to book for two nights. Great dog friendly. Great relaxed cottage in a wonderful location. It was expensive and with the ferry on top.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The overall experience created some lovely family memories with an amazing view, great break for all of us that stayed. Please trim the hawthorn bushes in the lane leading up to the property as both our cars were slightly scratched. Also a resurface job in the lane would be great although i appreciate that this will need all resident participation.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969It was a pleasure staying in the coastguard cottage. It was private and secluded. Just what we really wanted for the group that travelled with us. It was absolutely amazing on that side of the island. We will definitely come back and book through your company. It was also a pleasure liaising with Shannon. She was very helpful and had a pleasant personality. See you soon.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Many thanks for a lovely stay at Coastguards cottage. Many positives! The house was in the perfect position on the cliff path with spectacular views. Also steeped in history. It was clean and tidy and the upstairs was especially bright and clean with comfortable beds and bedding. Good amount of equipment in the kitchen, everything could want for a comfortable stay. Loved the touches like the dog blankets in the lounge, beautiful open fire and great outside seating area with comfy cushions. Wonderful place to stay and we'll be back! Plus I should add you were so accommodating and helpful in organising our stay. I will certainly recommend you!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Really nice cottage, lots of room, superb views from the rear of the property, over the Channel. 150 yards walk out of the back garden to the cliff edge steps cut into the cliff side (not for the faint hearted) provides access to a practically deserted beach with crystal clear water. For easier access, a short stroll of around half a mile takes you down to the chine and down onto the beach. The front garden (courtyard) has a fabulous bbq area with plenty of seating. The nearest pub (Wight Mouse) serves great food and is about a mile and half from the cottage and most places on the Island are within 30-40 minutes drive from the property. Overall, really nice place to stay and perfect base to discover the island.

Stayed Dec 23, 2023The cottage seems to be recently refurbished provides most of the modern facilities but without luxury. The house is warm and have all the necessary to cook and stay like home. You have even dishwasher, washing machine and convenient drier. The surrounding provides walk paths by the coast. Note that you can not access directly the beach as there is a cliff, you need to walk a mile or so so access the sea shore. We had an issue with a water leak on a Sunday night 31 of December but we received a good response of the emergency number and thing were handled to the best they could at the time. Closest supermarkets are 15/20 minutes by car in Freshwater or more options in Newport. Internet is very slow and not enough to make the TV streaming to function properly. I used my phone 3G/4G hotspot most of the time which was OK for work with my laptop. I will surely recommend to stay in here.
