Quite simply a magnigicent cottage. The owners have gone an extra mile in quality, looking after clients and attention to detail. I doubt there is a better place to stay the entire South West.

Pilchard cottage is tastefully decorated and very comfortably furnished throughout. The attention to detail extends to good quality bed linen and towels and the kitchen is comprehensively equipped with everything you need on a self catering holiday, including decent sharp knives and basic condiments and cleaning stuff such as dishwasher tablets and washing liquid. The owners have thought about everything that might be needed, from bathrobes, to buckets and spades. Especially noteworthy was the provision for our two dogs. Dedicated dog towels, bowls, spare leads and, best of all, a warm shower in the courtyard and a mud daddy for mucky walks. The welcome package was thoughtful; cake and local fudge as well as basics such milk and some tea and coffee. Even some dog treats. This cottage is highly recommended for its location, the lovely independent shops in the main street, the facilities and home from home vibe.
