My family of 6 (2 adults, 2 kids and 2 seniors) stayed at the cottage for 4 nights. The house was quaint and had everything we needed. The horses across the street were a big hit with my kids! Anne was so sweet and met us at check in and check out. Our only complaints were the driveway was super tricky to part the rental van in, the shower did not drain well and the house was not super clean. Overall we enjoyed our visit to Scotland!
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage. Perfectly placed for Stirling, Edinburgh, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs etc and perfect for our family of five.
We had an amazing trip to Bannockburn, Stirling. We were coming from the US and wanted to stay somewhere fairly central so that we could explore some of the areas - Edinburgh, Southern Highlands, Loch Lomond, Oban, and St. Andrews. When we arrived, the property manager Ann greeted us to make sure we had everything. She left us a lovely welcome basket! She was an amazing host, very accommodating with requests and kind. The cottage we rented was very clean, equipped with everything we needed, including a coffee press and a washer! We were there during the hot spell, but everything was very comfortable. I could imagine it would be extremely warm and cozy in the fall-spring! There is an outdoor area that has a porch swing, a table, a couple of different sitting areas, and many toys that our children (6y,8y,10y) enjoyed playing! The Bannockburn area has so much to offer and is very close to Stirling with the many sights to see as well! The cottage was a short walk into the town with an awesome pub, the best pizza place, and a great coffee shop! Lidl and Aldi are a short drive away as well. The cottage is close to an old golf course, so we were able to take a few gorgeous walks in the beautiful town. We are so grateful that we had this opportunity to stay at Ochil Cottage, and we really hope to return someday! Thank you to Ann for such wonderful accommodations!
Well situated for everything we had planned to do with the kids - warm and homely, host right next door if we needed anything, and lovely welcome pack
Good location, lovely property and excellent host who lives nearby if you need anything. Cottage was spacious and the outside space was excellent. Nearby grassy areas for walking the dog were also excellent as the outside space isn’t grassed.
Had a great stay , cottage owner Anne was lovely and so friendly . Cottage was lovely , clean and was home from home x
This cottage is something special. The location is perfect. Everything we needed was there including milk and coffee and we look forward to returning. The owner was very accommodating and helped us with every request. One of the best places we’ve stayed at.
