Ocean front cottage with private beach.

Cabin was extremely cozy! Ocean view was as if we were on a ship!!! All day views! Sunrise to Sunset you'll be mesmerized! The hood is quiet! And right off the cottage you're are greated by a private beach! Eric the host is extremely helpful, and welcoming! We had a chance to meet him and he couldn't have been more accommodating. Amazing home right on the ocean! The location could not be beat. A private beach is just a few steps away and the house was great. Awesome family room and a big screen tv to boot! The kitchen was well equipped and the huge wrap around deck was awesome to sit and look at the water. Very close to the center of town, too. Very peaceful and relaxing place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay and Eric was really helpful. Lovely location on the quieter part of the island.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! We spent almost all of our time on the porch and just couldn’t get enough! Had a lobster bake one evening and every breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the table on porch. We played lots of card games, & read many books. I brought my own hammock as the porch had the S hooks for one. The beds were all very comfortable- firm, but had some memory foam give. They supplied plenty of fans (5) which we used all over the house and having no AC on main floor was never an issue-plenty of breezes and shade. Def bring bug spray at night, though. Breezy nights- the bugs were less of an issue, of course. Kitchen was a bit disorganized but we made it work to our liking and was no issue at all. It had all the dishes, serving platters, glasses (plentiful) and pots/pans we needed. I bought a few kitchen utensils & left them there (plastic spatula, plastic spoon etc..). There were only a few hangers so I’d recommend bringing those if you want to hang things. I rated the cleanliness low but that is more about the usual bugs, ants… but to be expected for a Peaks Island cottage. Didn’t bother me, but wanted to be honest. My whole family is interested in Eric’s other rentals and we plan to stay again! Hopefully longer this time! A little hike from ferry dock/town but I loved being away from the hustle & bustle! I’d recommend this cabin to anyone!

Eric was great to work with - he was communicative and location was wonderful. Private beach was a treat and the porch was perfect! I shared some feedback around supplies and cleanliness and Eric was responsive.

This cottage is a well-maintained traditional summer cottage overlooking Diamond Island Passage at the end of Island Avenue on Peaks. The cottage has been updated with new windows and fresh paint, has a functional and well-equipped kitchen, indoor and porch-based dining areas and comfortable living spaces. Strong wifi, nice TV and access to a sandy beach make this cottage special. Eric and brother Scot are terrific, responsive hosts who respond to questions quickly and they were very helpful orienting us to the cottage and environment. The location is generally private and quiet, and the island lends itself to biking. I absolutely recommend this cottage and the hosts. Many Thanks!

Wow my wife and I loved our stay!! We walked and visited different parts of Portland but coming back to the island was always the best part. The loop around the outside has beautiful coastal views and the forested trails inside the island kept bringing new surprises. Would definitely stay again!

Our family had a great time here. We loved the location (private road, easy bike ride to town, beach access, views!) and the house had plenty of space for us (6 in all). The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking (and the island grocery store had everything we needed), we enjoyed making puzzles once the sun was down, and we took the kayaks out as well. The porch was a big highlight - we spent a lot of time out there and ate most meals outside. Great sunset-viewing from here too. Definitely recommend this home!

What a way to introduce my family to the beauty of Maine. The cottage was the perfect spot for our family vacation. It's at the end of a quiet road and offers views of Casco Bay and Great Diamond. Our kids loved that we could walk down to the private beach, either to swim or embark on a quest for sea glass and shells. My husband and I fell in love with the wide porch, where we'd start our mornings with hot coffee and a good book. The owner was helpful and attentive, and the check-in process couldn't have been easier... especially after a long drive with young kids. Although the cottage is a bit of a hike from the ferry, my husband and I made the walk while our kids rode their bikes. Later in the week, we rented bikes so we could explore the ocean-side of the island -- how gorgeous! Our family definitely recommends this property as an option for your Peaks vacation!
