Stayed Apr 2, 2026Beautiful, well kept home. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and big bathrooms. Very clean. Hosts were lovely and communicative. Well tucked away into the woods yet close to Main St Highlands and a decent distance to Cashiers.

Stayed Nov 22, 2024This isn’t the first time we’ve rented this house and we keep coming back because it is one level with no scary stairs and it’s the perfect size for us. We have three small children - 2, 4, and 6 - and we love that the driveway is easy to access and the house is one story.

Stayed Sep 13, 2024We have rented all over Highlands while our new home was under construction. This was one of our favorite locations. The communication with the host was superb and we found the home to be exactly as described and extremely clean. We would highly recommend it.

Stayed Aug 30, 2024Excellent communication from host before trip & during our stay. Absolutely loved the property and the cottage. Pictures don’t do it justice. I felt like Snow White in her enchanted cottage in the forest. Clean, quiet, secluded, easy access to Highlands & Cashiers, equipped with everything we needed for our stay in each room and space. I would recommend this property and stay there again!

Stayed Aug 5, 2024We truly enjoyed our stay at Nestledown. We’ve been coming to the area for the last four years and this is our favorite. It’s quiet and well furnished. It’s also close to Cashiers, Highlands and Glenville Lake. The owners are very helpful and accommodating.

Stayed Jul 22, 2024The name Nestledown seems to refer to bird nests, for you’ll find bird and nest-themed curios everywhere you look. This is a relatively new house with rustic decor. You’ll appreciate the roominess, cleanliness, and attention to detail throughout. It’s better than the photos online show. This is not a “host-free” property. The host will want to speak to you by phone before you arrive and will text you frequently during your stay.
