Modern Cottage, superb views, near St Andrews

It was a little interesting finding the place... But their instructions proved very accurate! Outside of that it was amazing!!! The hosts were the most genuine, kind, nice people in all of Scotland. Home is beautiful. Amazing view. Would highly recommend.

Best place we have ever stayed....................

Easy travel to both Dundee and St Andrews. Lovely peaceful stay. Situation of house meant that we didn't even hear Storm Callum during night! Food, drink and fruit provided on our arrival with everything else that you would need available in kitchen.

Gordon and Marion were very welcoming and helpful. Readily available to deal with any issues.

Nothing was to much bother for Gordon .An excellent friendly host.a lovely and warm cottage with fantastic views.Will book again.

Lovely welcome from Gordon and the welcome pack was phenomenal. The kitchen was also very well stocked which was greatly appreciated. We had our dog with us and although the garden wasn't fully enclosed it was a really good large space for our dog to explore. The views from the garden room are just amazing - lovely to sit here with a morning coffee.

Very friendly host. Very welcoming with lovely things to eat. Beautiful view. We loved the house although it was a little bit old and broken in a few parts. It could be cleaner with the spider webs and so on. We loved it any way.

Fabulous stay at this cottage in picturesque scenery! Great and comfortable place with stunning views from the conservatory. Ideal spot for visits to St Andrews and the Fife region. Very kind hosts who supplied us with eggs, milk, cheese, bread, and even short bread. Definitely a recommendation!

Property was in great location and well kept. Owner provided everything needed to make the stay memorable. I will stay there again in future.

Interesting two level property. Nice and quiet with great views. Everything worked and owners very kindly left a good many provisions on arrival. We enjoyed it there.

Spacious, comfortable with a view to die for.

What a great place! I knew I was going to like this cottage, but I wasn’t prepared for just how nice the views are. Cows in a field just below the property, then farms, then the River Tay in the distance and Dundee, etc. Of the many VRBO (and other) properties I’ve stayed in over the years, Gordon was the best host I’ve encountered. Communication was always quick, and he’d left me a variety of provisions (milk, eggs, fruit, bread, etc.) ahead of my stay. He and I chatted a few times, and he had great suggestions about things to do in the area. He’s friendly and available, but not intrusive — exactly what a VRBO host should be.Absolutely nothing to complain about here. Great proximity to St Andrews, and an outstanding property. Highly, highly recommended. I’ll be back, no question.

Lovely garden to sit in all day with gorgeous views. The beds were comfy, the house was well equipped with everything we could have needed and the hosts were welcoming when we arrived. We would definitely consider booking again.

Excellent property with all you need for a peaceful break.Lovely views and great facilities.Communication with owners is great and we had all the details needed to easily find the place and make ourself at home for the couple days.So quiet and just enough out the way to feel away from it all but not miles into the hills.We were also greated with a bottle of wine along with milk cheese and breads, that was very kind of the owners to do.Would recommend this place to friends and family, and definitely book again..

Lovely & peaceful

OMG....From the moment we walked through the front door it felt like our home away from home. The views are to die for and the peace and tranquility is unmatched. The hosts have seen that everthing you could need is already there. A full kitchen, huge TV, gas fireplace, central heating, remodeled master bathroom, a seasonal patio overlooking the valley, comfortable beds, wi-fi and much more are just a few of the nice touches. Our hosts even provided some staple foods (bread, butter, eggs, cheese, bottle of wine), just to get us started. We didnt want to leave on the last day but certainly would someday want to return. If you're looking for a place to get away from it all in Scotland this is it. Its also within miles of shops, restaurants, and about 6 miles away from St Andrews old course, amongst others for the golfing enthusiasts. Dont go to this area without giving this rental a chance. Its very fairly priced for the quality and style and your hosts are two of the nicest people you will ever come across.

We loved this property. The owners were very pleasant and responded quickly to any questions we had. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The views were spectacular. I would highly recommend this property for your visit to St. Andrews.

Absolutely lovely property. Away from the town bustle but only a short drive to St Andrews & Dundee. Great hosts and great welcome hamper. Will definitely be back - my mum did not want to leave!

We had a lovely stay here, the hosts were lovely and very helpful and friendly. Property has lovely views and location is very handy for St Andrews and Cupar where we spent a lot of time doing lots of different things and visiting the many attractions around the area. The only thing we would say is that the outside garden area was not suitable/sate for our granddaughter due to steep incline she could very easily have gone over a high drop. That said we were out most days and not home to use the space much and it would not deter us from booking again. We would definitely consider going back again

A lovely property with a stunning view! All sorts of experiences from 30 minutes to 2 hours away. We enjoyed golf, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Saint Andrews, Dunnottar Castle and more. Fully equipped kitchen made at home meals easy with grocery nearby. Outdoor fire pit was warm and welcoming at night. Gordon is a gracious and helpful host … the his “pet” pheasant very cool to see so close up! Highly recommend this rental to all.

We had the absolute best stay here! Gorgeous views! Comfortable home with everything you need! They even stocked essential groceries so we didn’t have to rush to the grocery store. It was so nice and peaceful to stay here, cook, and enjoy the beauty of St Andrew’s after a long day on the golf course. Highly recommend and plan to return on day! Thank you for a wonderful visit!
