Maine Waterfront Cottage: Nestled on an acre of land, with 500ft of shore front

Maine Waterfront Cottage was perfect in all ways. The cottage was beautiful, no detail was left out. From the spectacular views to the spacious accommodations, it was the perfect retreat. So easy to get to town for great food and shopping. David was the perfect host, he went above and beyond, was so welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We can’t wait to come back.

The cottage was wonderful and David was very welcoming. Everything we needed with great views and close to town. There is something special about watching a gorgeous sunrise from bed. The gas fireplace made the livingroom cozy in the chilly fall weather.

Our stay was perfect from the moment our host met us at the property and gave us a complete tour, until we left on the last day.The tasteful and beautiful touches were fantastic. We enjoyed the sunrises, the wildlife, kayaking, playing pool, playing the piano, cooking in the well equipped kitchen and reading on the deck.We are already planning a return trip.

Everything about our stay at David’s cottage was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The cottage was full of charm and character, set against a peaceful waterfront backdrop that made it easy to relax and unwind.David was a thoughtful and attentive host, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. They say you can't go home again, but if you're a native returning to Maine (like us), you can come pretty close to it by staying at the Sea Lavender Cottage!We were four adults and an infant and there was plenty of room inside and outside. The Cottage is exceedingly clean and tastefully furnished and decorated. The views from the deck are stunning and we spent a lot of time with the provided binoculars watching the antics of the wildlife on the tidal river. We also used the kayaks to explore much the area. The Cottage is located nearby to the very charming town of Damariscotta. That region of state offers many nice attractions for coastal day trips.David is an exceptional and kind host. He made sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. He gave us a quick tour of the property when we checked in and offered helpful tips for our visit. When we left, he was interested in any feedback regarding our stay. We hope to stay there again.

House is clean and comfortable with everything in working order. We lacked for nothing and enjoyed the small touches, such as the in-person welcome from David and the goodies he left for us. We spent time relaxing and taking in the beautiful view, as well as kayaking and light hiking in the area. We'd definitely recommend this property!

We loved our stay at this cottage. It had a beautiful waterfront, location, with bright big windows and a gorgeous view from everyone. The decor and comfort of the home is the best we’ve ever stayed in. There are many luxuries to enjoy and comforts everywhere you turn. The owner, David, is very accommodating and even offered us an early check-in and a late check out so we could extend our stay. He was gracious and helpful, but also respected our privacy. A nice touch was every morning when we woke up, the driveway had been freshly salted. A wonderful experience and I would highly recommend.

If you are looking for a perfect cottage with unrivaled scenery and complete serenity....look no further. This is my second time staying in Newcastle and I know it will not be my last. David is a perfect host; the cottage has everything you need to eat in or just plain relax. We will be back.

We were very pleased with this vacation rental. Everything was exactly as advertised and the house was very clean. We cooked or grilled every night - the kitchen was well equipped. Simmons Seafood is a few minutes drive away and had fresh seafood. We will be staying here again!

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient. A want for not kitchen for meals taken at the property. A view that promotes relaxation. Restaurants, groceries and especially Simmons Fish Market for reasonable priced fresh seafood. And the original Reny's for great bargains. Great communication with the host.
