Lost Dutchman Retreat Cottage

Very nice location

We loved every minute of our stay at the Lost Dutchman! It's a very cozy home which was conducive for reading, hiking and relaxing. We had fantastic tips for good restaurants, breweries, wineries and several State Parks and natural areas nearby. We are eager to return and enjoy each season at the Lost Dutchman!

Great stay in the cozy cottage. Perfect location to State College. Communication was flawless and check in and out very convenient. Less than 30 minutes to Beaver Stadium and just a few minutes from Seven Mountain Winery.

Cute efficiency kitchen and oven - nice king bed with soft mattress cover. Nice to have 2 bathrooms. Pretty view from king bedroom.

Lovely location in the woods.

The charming cottage was the perfect location from which to explore Bald Eagle State Park, State College and the entire area. The cottage also has a gas grill right on the front porch and a lot of room to spread out. My husband and daughter rode their dirt bikes during the day, while I visited the Seven Mountains Wine Cellars and nearby towns. Our hosts, Will and Dana, were extremely responsive which made for a stress free stay.

Beautiful location with a peaceful setting in the woods. Very comfortable beds! No WiFi, so it’s a great place to disconnect. Communication with the owners was great, and they were promptly available to make sure we were taken care of.

We had such a beautiful visit with our children at this cabin! The woods were peaceful, the home was so clean & welcoming, we especially loved the board games! Dana & Will were responsive, accommodating, & so welcoming. This was a perfect place to bring my family to visit the area I grew up in! We surely will be back!

Outstanding beds, great place for a peaceful, relaxing space just outside of State College. Will be on our list for future visits as it was a great place for peace, quiet, and rest in the woods! Wonderful communication and a great experience.

Loved this little cottage! Perfect location for PSU activities, as it is just a quick jaunt through the woods to Old 322 and then a straight shot to downtown! Nice and quiet…didn’t even hear the people who rented the larger home that the cottage is built on. I would absolutely stay here again!! ***make sure sure that your navigation apps have you approaching Decker Valley Road from the 322 entrance, or you’ll be driving on some crazy narrow roads and ATV trails to get there!!

Absolutely terrific place to get back to nature and reconnect with your friends and family. We went away during the day but played games on the poker table and talked every evening. The beds are very comfortable as is the other furniture. There is a cider press off the driveway where I enjoyed watching a cider press from 1860-1880 making cider. I brought 2 gallons home. Close to Penn's Cave which was attraction we came to see. We also enjoyed the antique mall in Milroy. Except for the rainy weather this was a wonderful weekend getaway

Marvelous experience for our first 2024 summer family outing! Wonderful place to stay it exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend this property for any families looking for a peaceful, relaxing time to connect and regroup ?

Dana & Will have the perfect spot outside of State College, best enjoyed by mountain bikers & hikers! Our team enjoyed the large space to team dinner and preparing for the Raven Enduro.
